Speed is the most underrated hopper. I have mine for almost 7 years before HK bought them out. It's the lightest, simplest, consistent, and an absolute tank for durability. And I never have to worry about it splitting in half when diving like these newer ones. I'll admit it isn't the prettiest but it's value is untouchable.

Tony loves the shark fin on the rotar but the button on spires is literally almost the same thing. It works the same except for the dedicated piece inside the hopper of the rotar.

My personal favorite is the IR and it doesn’t pulse, the only time it pulses is when there is no paint in it. If it’s full of paint and there is one in the feet neck then it will not pulse.

As someone who is getting back into the sport after a long hiatus, I've been racking my brain wondering why a particular hopper is $250? When I played regularly the Halo/Reloader hoppers were the apex. The $250 hopper seems excessive when most paintball fields cap bps a bit lower than most electronic hoppers are capable of loading.

I can think of a couple of different reasons for you. Depending on the length of your hiatus, number one will largely be due to inflation IMO. 2 would be loader tech has improved quite a bit since back then. BPS isn’t really a main selling point anymore. Ease of use, reliability and efficiency are bigger concerns. Loafers are much easier to disassemble, shells are generally made out of MUCH tougher plastics then old halo shells and if I’m not mistaken battery life is much better. Paint handling is also a huge selling feature now a days. I think inflation is largely to blame though imo. I was just thinking about that the other day honestly, 50-90 dollars got you the highest end mask, and a little over 100 got you a top tier loader. Now there’s mask that go for nearly 200 and loaders that go for 250. However I will say, on the flip side, 3-400 dollar guns can hang with the 1500 dollar guns nowadays. So that’s a definite win 😬

It is worth it. I played when it was 25-35 bucks for a day. 50+ is worth the experience...for an adult making their own money. Group rates are lower. Or even parents wanting to connect with kids..pending. Worth it renting or buying 20yrs ago & still today. That HK package maybe next in front of the TipX package LWP!!

My original pinokio speed just broke, a old warn out dirty re-ball got jammed in it up in it (its possible it was just because it was one last balls)....anyway I took the nose cone off & spun the paddles backwards as soon as I did that the ben sensor would no longer run the motor so I DO NOT recommend running paddles backwards, regardless of what person who designed it said.

Yeah , get an LTR it has the ramp already so you won’t have to shake it to get the paintballs moving. Only downside to the LTR is the time consuming speed feed connecting. At only $99 it’s pretty much the same as the higher end hoppers.

ve never had the hk spped or pinokio loader, but I owned a similiar loader back in 2001ish called the "Ricochet 2k" loader which operates identicle to these hk loaders, and I have to say that it was one of the most reliable loaders Ive ever owned to date. I never had a single jam in it, and the bend sensor is a near flawless system as there is almost no reason for t to stop working.

@@kingoflowendpaintball1040 The difference that I remebered was that the ricochet 2k didnt have the raceway for the paint to be cycled, it was just the fingers that spun in the loader to keep the paint from binding up nd jamming, and the hk speed and pinokio does have a raceway and similiar fingers to cycle the paint down into the marker.

So the HKs eyes are basically a ricochet 2k… speaking from someone who uses a ricochet those sensors don’t stand the test of time. 2 in 30 chance a ricochets sensor still works.
