Hot Tent Winter Camping

hot tent camping in winter. hiking to a remote location to camp in a hot tent with an ocean view. cooking food on my titanium tent wood stove and enjoying a bit of fresh snow in the morning. I stayed warm all night long in my downfill sleeping bag and had a great camping experience.

I will stay home a while as I will be watching my granddaughters new baby only 6 months old so I will be watching the taking notes and enjoying your beautiful locations. That site is awesome, ocean, water fall and ice. This is the second time I’ve seen that tent. What a fantastic modification. That stove in that style vestibule is a phenomenal setup. That’s better than any pre made hot tent on the market. Someone else should be on you for design ideas, someone needs to market what I’m looking at. I’d buy one.

My wife went to the east coast for her 50th birthday. She was at the Bay of Fundy. Looks like this body of water is a tad bigger than your inland lake you go to. Great video as always. I am glad you love the snow. My love for it has long gone away.👍🇨🇦

I like that tent, set up as a hot tent. The tent walls are not likely to touch the stove pipe in wind.

I modified the tent myself. I don't recommend anyone without experience doing this as the measurment tolerances are very minimal.

This winter here in Northern Iowa I am going to try the hot tent deal probably get one of them hot tent 70 or a stove tent 70 whatever it is I don't know what kind of stove to get for that but we'll see did some winter camping without a stove just a sleeping bag and my face almost got frost bit face felt weird for a week LOL live and learn right

Thank you and congratulations on your new passion. The waxed jute twine in a tube is very simple. Just wax a piece with a candle by rubbing it then melting over a heat source, repeat 4-5 times until saturated then place in a metal tube . Very effective piece of kit for woodstoves
