The "Head Glitch" is considered a glitch because of how the game is designed, in theory the bullet should exit from the barrel of your gun but realistically what happens in game is that the bullet exits from where the players camera is positioned (their eyes). This design facilitates programing game mechanics, otherwise every time you would be near a wall your gun would have to be put up to avoid collision, another good example is that players guns can poke through the door but you are not able to shoot through the door because the gun is just a place holder.

I've always known this as head banging, because realistically when you are ADSing your gun would be at your face, so its just a visual thing, head glitching is when you're in a position where your head is not visible but still shooting.

Bro gotta remember it’s literally just a game I used to get so fn tilted at this game took a few seasons off came back and honestly couldn’t care less .. and with this attitude I’ve gotten much farther faster solo queuing even tbh… pick a game that is the exact polar opposite than apex I usually go for something mindless shooter like far cry or something play that when your having shut days… also if I have three bad games in a row I give myself 2 more games if I continue to not do good I go play something else or take a break … no sense of beating your head

It's called a head glitch because while you can usually only see their head from your FOV in their FOV, they can see your entire body so "head glitching" is usually a way to make your body almost impossible to hit while they still have LOS on you and your teammates

I mainly have played pubs since season 5 and just started grinding ranked this season, so this is from my experience: The game is naturally fun, as Wattson has also said in some of his streams. I haven't encountered many hackers but maybe that's because I play on Xbox. The only time I felt the game was "unfun" was when i am grinding ranked and it feels like a chore, and how you are basically stuck because of bad randoms

It originated in Call of Duty which was made using the Unreal Engine. It's called a head “glitch” because of the glitch/flaw/possible intentional mechanic in the Unreal engine that puts your "eyes" at the top of your character's head instead of where your eyes actually are. And your eyes are where you shoot from in most games like this. So, you end up utilizing a potential glitch to make yourself as difficult to hit as possible while still being able to fire.

Head glitch is a term from Socom back in the day. There used to be a glitch where you lay down and crawl head first into a wall and you would go through it then you can shoot through the walls and maps. (Head first, head glitch)

Also to answer why it is called a head "glitch" : I believe it's when someone shoots at you and you can only see their head, and if someone shoots at you it would make sense to be able to see their gun too at least... This is possible because in most FPS you see your own gun floating in front of your head (and shoot from there) instead of in your arms where the others see it
