As a devote Watty, nice to see a pro ranking Wattson so highly. Most Tier List vids rank her low. One thing you forgot to mention about Crypto is his ability to retrieve banners and use respawn beacons to revive his teammates with the drone. During solo queue ranked environments, that passive ability is amazing when you have randoms that want to hot drop every match.

@@deadwalke9588well he is fat has no movement abilites so if he gets caught out he is dead and he isn’t that aggressive as his bubble is stationary so you can’t go that well with a aggressive team as others can and there is a better Rez legend who can provide just as much protection while being able to fit in any team comp and while they are also big they have ways to get out and can defend them selves better It’s like the a perfect wall with weapons and all but it is a Great Wall it has a death start like weakness and gets outclassed in his own areas despite having great abilities

I think ballistic is really underrated,he doesnt need a rework he just needs some buffs,his ultimate could affect whole squad regardles of their position sometimes my rev or path go in and my ult doesnt affect them it would be really cool if it has Infinite range, His tac i think should spread to other People,like when you stick it to someone anyone near them also gets the effect,and his passive sling weapon can have Attachments unlike now.

Vantage really only needs a few tweaks to make her stronger, most notably with her ultimate. The laser being visible to enemies is one of the largest drawbacks to her kit, second only to her hitbox size for a non-fortified character. The scan the sniper applies to a hit enemy also does not go through walls, though it is visible if the target retreats into smoke. Take away the laser and let the scan go through cover, all the sudden her ultimate is in a really good place.

Remove 1 of the tactical upgrade passives, and add in a choice to make her passive mark last longer, and visible through solid objects. I'd also buff her tactical, to allow her to grab onto downed teammates, and use her tactical to get them out of danger. Essentially holding onto them, as she activates her tactical jump.

The laser is there to make sure that a legend who can start off the match with a stupid broken weapon has some notable counterplay. It'd be utterly miserable to play against a vantage who gets an ult accelerant off if she didn't tell you which direction she's coming from. What she needs is to get some sort of utility that scales over the course of the game so she's not useless at the endgame. Her tactical also needs to be reworked because it's literally just a delayed dash and the actual bird is pointless atm - that's probably a huge part of her popularity problem.

About time someone said Wattson is better than Caustic and Catalyst. Everyone meat rides those two because their abilities sound better on paper, even though their worst case scenarios are far more common, worse, and/or devastating than Wattsons. (Catalyst's getting naded and/or ability spammed, Caustic's getting naded, caught out in the open, and/or ability spammed, and Wattson's is either getting emp pushed or caught out in the open, but its less devastating than Caustic because her small hitbox.) There are way more Fuses and Horizons than Cryptos, which really hurts Caustics and Catalysts ability to hold a spot compared to Wattson. If you have a versatile aggressive legend paired along with Wattson, like Bang, you really don't need the aggressive tools that Caustic and Catalyst can offer as much. Don't get me wrong, a Cat wall and Caustic ult can completely change the outcome of the game and Catalyst and Caustic are by no means bad legends. They are just far less consistent than Wattson because they have higher strengths, but devastating and hard weaknesses that Wattson doesn't share.

What's crazy about Wattson is that her abilities can STACK. Her passive can boost up her ult faster with ult accels, her ult can give her more tac fences, and she literally has 2 abilities built in to give her free shields. Not to mention Caustics' and Catalysts' traps are absolutely useless if other enemies are using that same legend as you are. They can literally run in your trapped building and not get affected or hurt by anything, which is another downside that Wattson thankfully does not share.

Maggie being in D because of nitpicks is crazy considering she is easily one of the simplest character to use and can outplay plenty of characters even when only a 3rd of her kit. I almost never have a issue using her and should easily fit in B tier as you can easily outplay even some of the best characters it higher tiers and dunk on anyone lower.

at bare minimum passive should not notify the enemy team, tether should not really break for any reason (like why the **** can a horizon just q out and break it at will) and ult should have twice the range it had a month ago + some qol buffs (quicker draw speed after tp, easier time aiming the portal etc). These wouldnt even make her insane, they would just make her feel like a working-as-intended legend

As a Maggie main, all of those reasons are so true. I’ve tried to figure it out but it’s a bit hard to test the consistency of the drill because the training ground is made a lot “better” then the older maps. If they made the drill more consistent she would be so much better. Also I find the scans very useful. It’s good at giving you intel on the immediate actions of the player you just shot. A lot of the times I can shoot someone and if they are on height I can tell if they have dropped or where they have gone. It makes life easier when gathering info on the players.

vantage has an incredibly high skill ceiling. i thought she sucked when i first started playing her, but i was intrigued by her kit. after about a year, it’s clear to me that she just takes time getting used to. her kit can be solo oriented at times, but good communication can make up for that. once you get good with the sniper, early ring scenarios in ranked where people are rotating, i pretty much get about 2 kills a game in that one situation. not to mention her ability to take any position anywhere on the field since her tac is so useful

Bro was glazing Caustic the whole video just to throw him mid B tier lol. It's about time someone said that Wattson is better than Caustic tho. There's so many people out there who pick up Cat and Caustic because they seem better on paper and are easier to use, but then get naded out and/or ability spammed easily. I'm a Wattson main who's played alot of both Caustic and Catalyst in ranked and pubs, and I can't tell you how many times I threw my controller (shoutout controller Wattson mains btw) because some shitter Fuse emptied his inventory of nades on my spot. It's sounds like a niche scenario but its more common than you think. Sure Cat and Caustic can be really good for aggressive plays, but like you stated in the video "it's about how good a legend is at their worst, than at their best" and Wattsons worst scenario isn't as bad as Caustic and Catalyst's. When a Wattson gets caught out in the open, its much less devastating than if you were Caustic due to her smaller hitbox. Plus Wattson got shadow buffed with her passive shield regen speed being doubled so that's a neat convenience. It's such a shame so many people overlook her potential because she has a high skill ceiling and high skill requirement. It's easy to mistake a high skill character with just a straight up terrible character when you don't know how to use them.

It really all depends on meta. Before Bang, and Fuse were meta, Watson was kind of crap, but now that Fuse is being played by everyone, and every game and team almost gaureteneed you'll see multiples of them, make Wattson jump up to S tier. It's the same thing for Newcastle. Right now all the hyper aggressive, getting 3rd, into the 4th, into the 5th partied situations, makes Newcastle absolutely S tier. Newcastle + Wattson + Lifeline, unless you're absolute trash you're going to win that game with ease. I call it the Immortal Dynamic Trio, because no matter who you knock, it doesn't matter, you aren't getting an advantage in that team fight, and they'll quickly and easily get their teammate back, while punishing you for trying to close the gap.

Something I would like to mention about fuse is that his knuckle cluster is a lot more versatile than you think and even though the damage is not the best it slows and slightly scares enemy’s so if you put it in a spot such as a open doorway nobody will walk through that so it acts like a border, and it can break doors which is very useful if you are pushing someone in a building, you can break the door than spam nades inside

Love the video. I still think Ash is one of the best legends in the game when utilized properly. Her snares are insanely effective at stopping people from running away, or just doing consistent 20 damage to a team across from you whenever you throw it at them. You can also use to block doors when you’re healing, or completely knock someone off of zip lines. Her cut is extremely effective at pushing a squad after you’ve knocked someone. The speed of the is what makes it effective, not necessarily the distance it goes. I also like that it’s only way, and after a while, you don’t have to worry about another team taking that cut.

Only downside of this video is that the dude is clearly a Horizon main and it quickly devolved into how no one is as good as her. Each character has something unique they bring. You don’t have to compare to horizon every five seconds on every legend

Honestly man you've been making some dope videos recently and they are all so in-depth.... HOWEVER, I honestly believe your Crypto take is the most egregious take I've heard in a long time. First of all, you said without his emp and drone he is useless, that's like saying without hounds scan and ult he's useless lol. Crypto CURRENTLY is one of the strongest characters in the game, and I'm honestly surprised more ppl don't use him. I do believe that there's a skill gap in playing the character, but the benefits are crazy. When your drone gets shot, you get the Bangalore speed passive for a couple of seconds. So when shit hits that fan, your basically blitzing the enemies. Also if your taking damage and you get to cover, you can SIMOUTANOUSLY use the drone to scout for the enemies whereabouts and while being in the drone get healed with a bat or med kit. That ability alone I think separates him for a bunch of characters based off of usability. Secondly, recently Crypto has been the literal meta in the APAC teams (2nd most used legend in North and 3rd in South). Watching Crazy Raccoon (this is reject winnity) use him and Fnatic, 2 of the top 3 in the last lan, just shows his viability. Thirdly, just taking your drone out for a second can tell you how many squads are in your poi (things you just wouldn't know with other recon legends because of the distance needed to scan). Also respawning players with the drone takes a second (I just think its bonus I use alot in ranked). Honestly, I just recently started playing Crypto, its been hard to get good but mark my words this legend is so OP and mostly one region of the Apex comp scene uses him. strongly agreed can't be in D tier gotta be at least C or B the only downside for crypto is that he lacks movement and relies on drone to activate his abilities but his recent perk improved that if he's paired with team movement legend he's A+ tier imo recent update made crypto a lot more useful without having to pilot the drone at all until you can't find any enemy or gotta hit beacon you never want to pilot drone for more than a few seconds most of the time too and that's the most skill gap thing in playing him his drone is so useful like the analysis in the video for other characters where he can recon as the best recon rn + the most safe to use survey beacon, recover failure by recovering teammates banner and instantly activate respawn beacon far from him, push with emp by breaking most controller legend setups, and even use emp as defensive tool to stall opponent pushes

@@delusion7881 I agree with most of the things you said, but you saying that he lacks movement can be said for most legends. When he gets his drone shot out, he gets the same movement buff as bang when she gets shot at but I've never heard anyone say her lack of movement is a hindrance to her character. Most top players I've seen play crypto, go into the drone(for an extending time) when they are healing (you can heal while you scout for enemies in the drone), and usually you aren't moving that much when healing. But 100% if your being in the drone a lot, yes you would lack movement, but I think the person is just using crypto wrong imo.

I main Crypto, and this probably isn’t meta but I find my favorite comp to play with is actually Fuse and Revenant, mostly because Fuse’s ultimate pairs really well with EMP, it forces them to stay still while I land my ultimate on them, and then Revenant can dash in and pick off players while they are helpless. Knuckle cluster does really well to keep enemies in cover if I need to use my ultimate really close to the enemy, so I don’t get picked off from being rushed by the enemy. And Revenant’s ultimate is just highly preoccupying for the enemy, so it gives me time to rush in after using my ultimate. There’s probably better comps to be had, but this is just the one I enjoy most

Noticed a curious detail in your script - you were very diligent with referring to Cat as "They" while called Bloodhound "He" multiple times (it is emphasized in the game that Cat is Trans Woman = she/her and Bloodhound in NonBinary = they/them). This isn't a "how dare you" type of comment, I'm not trying to imply that anyone got offended here or anything, I just thought it might me interesting for you to notice that kind of a thing, because it is mostly subconscious / force of habit. For example I too call Bloodhound "he" from time to time as a slip of a tongue kind of thing because they have a lower, more manly voice

Vantage needs to be a long-time, long-range tracker so that it makes proper sense that she is a recon. Her sniper marker should track for, idk 2, minutes or even more; the extra damage is nice but usually not that useful. This way she is clearly different from other recons

The thing is, it doesn't even actually mark enemies afaik, just applies the damage vulnerability. I agree, it would be very nice as an actual tracking ability (heck, her voice lines *really* make it sound like it is), but then the damage multiplier would have to be lessened (though I wouldn't want it removed outright, because that debuff is also something that makes her unique). It's a trade I'd be happy to take! I'm just worried how long the mark should really last. Even 30 seconds could be horrendous to play against; no other ability scans for that long, without having some sort of counterplay. Now imagine having a 15%, 10%, or even 5% damage bonus on all hits you take, while also faced with a team that knows your every move for half a minute? It's a pretty big disadvantage, and aside from keeping your head down, there's little that a marked player could really do. Not very fun to play against. If I'm already spitballing ideas, make the Mark last 10-20 seconds, give 10% extra dmg, and either have it be visible to all allies through walls, or make it so that Vantage's passive now works on the target through walls (meaning she can now ping their precise locations for teammates through walls, along with the extra info on shield and teammate status). Not gonna happen of course, but it's fun to think about :)

I only have a couple characters left that I've been struggling with for a long time: Crypto, Gibby, Mirage, Wraith, Octane, and Altar. Glad to know that I can continue coping telling myself that most of these characters are garbage
