The best thing about Istanbul (imho only) is there are CATS EVERYWHERE! They'll walk inside restaurants, sleep on car roofs, most random places. There are even vehicular cat warning signs. Turkey is no kill, and take care of all the cats and dogs.

Shoreline Village seems similar to Seaport Village in San Diego. Jaycation has done several videos down there, his home base, but unfortunately one of my favorite restaurants _Harbor House_ didn't survive the pandemic mess! The poke nachos look like the Asian Nachos at Luxe Cafe with the fried wontons instead of chips. The gumbo looked really hearty and when Bill first mentioned red beans and rice, I thought of my grandfather and cornbread! Never been to Istanbul, I just know it's not Constantinople 😖🤣 The chimichanga platter looked delicious and filling too! Another great video B & L!

Ah ! You’re in my hood! I love going down to Shoreline for happy hour or dinner. We love going to Parker’s at sunset for oysters with a great view or Tequila Jacks! Next time you’re in LB you both should try Liv’s on 2nd street. Superb seafood and small plates in an intimate setting.

Highly recommend aquarium if the pacific and a harbor cruise. The cruise port is not only carnival. We took a princess cruise from the port. Mexican Rivera in January. Fabulous whale activity.

Yes, the aquarium and a harbor cruise are fun things to do in Long Beach. Princess (and RCCL) leave out of the Port of LA in San Pedro.

Wow, never knew about this place. Definitely a great place to visit, especially before or after a cruise. I'd do it after the cruise so I could do some shopping! The Holy Trinity of cajun cooking is onions, celery and bell peppers. Personally I think garlic should be in that too but then it wouldn't be a trinity. 😂 Can't wait to see your next adventure.
