I've not met Ian, but his wife Wendy was in the UK for a fanfest, and she was the sweetest, very friendly and fun-loving - just an all round great gal..

This is so cool! I am still a big fan of the BCR's.(all of them) Nice to see Ian as he is today. I e-mailed him once....maybe twice, and he is a true gentleman. I never got to see or hear them live, but they were my lifline when I was a kid around 12-17. I wish they would do one more tour together as the original BCR's! :-)

What a sweet, friendly fella Ian is. They sound great. I found myself singing along with 'Give a Little Love' ...sigh... Huge fan of the Rollers. Lady Mo, is that an Aussie accent I can detect? Love from Australia ❤❤

Interesting! Never saw the "American Chapter" of the BCR. When the bass player said his last name was Thibodaux, my ears perked up. I figure he is either Canadian or from South Louisiana, where Thibodaux is a common name. I even lived in a town called Thibodaux for 9 yeara!

How old is this video? Ian has certainly lost a lot of his Irish accent.

I think the greatest talent of Mr. Ian Mitchell was his handsome face in his youth. It certainly wasn't singing... 🙂

zak Sol, that's a very rude comment. Imagine if he read that, or anyone in his family. With that being said, every person is entitled to their own opinion, so maybe you should say "in my opinion" before you begin a comment. But dont say anything if it would hurt someone's feelings. Ian seems very enigmatic and hard-working, and most importantly so cheerful, his energy and happiness lights up the room! He is very talented, and has always continued to be in the music business, as you can see here, and on other KZbin videos. Also, remember he was only 17 and literally plucked from N. Ireland and placed into the BCR and I'm sure it was very hard for him to feel comfortable and feel as if he was "fitting in," but he sure did shine in the band. His Irish voice, his energy, and his smile really added a brightness to the BCR. I love him, always have, always will.
