Hi TK, as you rightly pointed out Candlewood is near Danbury CT. Similar to Quabbin Reservoir in MA, the army corps flooded out a few towns, churches and graveyards to construct it. Interesting history

2 feet? For real? I remember being out of school for the whole month of Feb b/c of snow . Giant igloos with tunnels to slide through at the end of our driveway, as my Dad ( young!) kept shoveling topping off the snowbank/igloo… Must’ve been ‘68…

Thanks for explaining the time on the map because I was not understanding that. I was just talking about that yesterday and noting that when you said snow would begin around a certain time, it did not match up with the time up on the left corner. So I appreciate that explanation.
