Hi Andy, Do Mirror carp shed patches of skin? The waters good and I've scrapped and it's clean as a whistle. Thank you😀

I think it's probably due to them bumping or flashing on the side/bottom of the pond, or equipment in it. It doesn't need to be due to parasites or water issues - carp only have two ways to deal with anything that's bothering them - jumping or flashing, so there could be a number of harmless causes. Also, it can be due to an accident, I've seen mine chase around the pond, and turn a bit late, hitting a plant basket or the pump, they're not always the brightest of animals ;) Mine have also scraped their head on the plant that overhangs the pond, mainly as food often drifts under it and they get all competitive and half leave the water! I have to see some really frequent flashing or jumping )or injuries consistent with it) before I reach for the test kits or net them.

Thank you Andy, for the Great Response. I noticed last night they were spitting out their food. Could only be Gill flukes now. Just bought some Morenical Lernex. They have been bouncing off he side of the temporary pond. More skin off a Mirror thank you again. Hope you and your Fish are Well.
