Good vid. My tactic now is to stock fish too large to be taken by a heron. Not sure where the threshold is but my koi are 50cm + and weigh 10lb, occasionally i see a heron by the pond taking a look but wont attack my fish. I assume your two carp in the vid are too big also?

cheers mate really appreciate that - I just use my iPhone 14, usually on 4k 60flps, occasionally go to cinematic mode on 4£ 30fps for some depth of field. The part you’ve mentioned is a4k60 zoomed in x3. I think it’s testament to how relatively good the iPhone camera is tbh. Saying that I would like dedicated camera to use!

Hi Dear, Your video content is really good. but views and subscribers are much lower. To increase subscribers and views, you need to do channel SEO meaning your videos are not fully SEO. SEO is not friendly to your title. The SEO score is very low. The main reason why videos go viral is because of video SEO and organic promotion. If you do SEO and promotion then lots of views and subscribers will come to your channel and you will be able to monetize your channel in a few days. I can help you. If you went.

Thanks Andy for another great episode. I used to be a fish keeper by trade with access to the best fish health professionals in the world. When I had health issues in a west african fish tank, I asked for help on several fish forums, but as well to thebest fish health experts in the world. On the forums I got like 100 different answers, but they were all equally certain. From the experts, that got access to a full analysis of a dieing fish including autopsies, photos of the fish intestians and the best expert in swedens own thought, I just got theories about the issue. No one was certain and noone dared to recomend a treatment. My conclusion was that I would never ever ask for advices within the hobby. And even less, ask for advices from people selling medications to hobbyists. Nowadays my focus on health is about prevention. I got costia and gill worms in my pond since 10 years back. Healthy fish can live with it. Healthy fish needs healthy water. All treatments awailable will destroy the healthy water. So I just stay away from treatments and are happy without it.🙂👍

Looks like the carp have thrush, put uniodised salt in otherwise there is a high chance of your fish dying

One has carp pox. While unsightly it is not life-threatening and the fish is doing very well. Thank you for your suggestion and for watching.

Andy! Opinions may vary. Mine is that your filter house looks good but that fake plants you have added to cover it is ugly, really ugly. I would urge you to reconcider that decition. Great video as always mate.😀👍

I can't totally disagree, but they were a cheap solution to covering up some issues - over time I may replace them with better options as money allows. Thanks for the support and comment as always mate

My pond loses so much water some times over night. I always think I got a leak but I think it's the water fall and my plants.how often do you top up your pond?
@TheGingerPondkeeper4 ай бұрын
By and large I'd go with it being the waterfall, I get little or no water loss, certainly not noticeable over 24 hours. When I had a waterfall a few years ago, I found I lost some water over the sides with splashing, but also found it hard to ensure the pipe connections were attached properly - the plants around it grew really well tho!

Excellent little series mate! If you’re capable of doing the work yourself and it looks like you are! Your dream Pond might not be that out of reach. Have you ever thought about a secondhand nexus 220? They’re not as big as you think then you could get rid of your multi bay and wheelie bin. My sheds 6x5 and I have plenty of room
@TheGingerPondkeeper4 ай бұрын
Thanks Neil really appreciate it - I have thought of a Nexus over the years, and I keep changing my mind! It's definitely something I might consider if I have some cash to add new equipment, but not enough for an RDF

"Maybe I an lazy". LOL! How much time do you spend on your weekly cleaning routine? I spend 2-4 times 10 minutes. 4 times only in the peek of summer. Great vid as always Andy.😀👍
@TheGingerPondkeeper4 ай бұрын
Cheers mate - yeah, it takes a while - about 1hr 30 once a week, then 15 minutes flushing the tempest on two other days, and a couple of 5 mins skimmer basket checking/emptying. I did used to do the 'big' clean twice a week, but I don't think it actually made things better and sucked the joy out of the hobby a bit!
@greenmachinesweden4 ай бұрын
@@TheGingerPondkeeper I do spend more time than that on my hobbies. It is just that I need to get efficient, get the time down on one hobby before I can start another one. There was a time long time ago when the pond took almost all my spare time. I know the feeling, took the Joy out of it.😀👍

Hi, I honestly can't remember where I got the waders friend, I got them years ago for fishing, I could do with higher ones as I have to drop the pond depth a little each time as otherwise the water comes over the side of them!
