Lots of good videos my friend. Appreciate you telling your story. I’m writing mine. I’m 3 years into this nightmare as of this month. I can relate to a lot you say and I’m only just realizing that they way forward is to retrain my thinking. Not an easy place to arrive to but I can see why it all makes sense now. Also your comment about social media , soooo true. It’s not a place for sick people to be on much, just a complete reminder you are not in that world anymore.

Your experience is similar to mine. I tested positive September 14, 2022. I was getting claustrophobic inside my home but I could not handle the panic and anxiety I would feel if I had to deal with anything at all, including watching shows on Netflix. My neurological system was a mess. I learned about Yoga Nidra and Andrew Huberman, and I believe aside from what you are doing, light therapy was the biggest help. Roger Seheult, MD, had a great video on Light as Medicine and I was hooked when it explained how it could work such miracles on our mitochondria and produce melatonin properly in the mitochondria. Getting outside for sunrise and sunset was miraculous, but it took 7 weeks of hell to get me back out of the long covid hell. Another bit of advice that is free and easy is to be mindful of holding your neck upright and not looking down where your vagus nerve can be pinched in your neck and cause lack of blood supply to your brain where it originates. All the LC symptoms mirror vagal dysfunction. I am sure Covid attacks and inflames the vagus nerve as it goes throughout our bodies, and if our stomach gets inflamed (like mine did), it can also cause pressure on the part of the vagus nerve that is responsible for digestion and the sympathetic nervous system that causes fight or flight. Good luck to everyone suffering. It's awful. I am completely better though!

You guys have it so good in england. Here in the US, Im in California and nobody gives a shit and doctors know nothing and it costs thousands $$$ to even get tests and diagnosis. No long covid clinics at all. Its truly unbelievable.

It's not that much better here if i'm honest. The long covid clinics just ring us up and tell us to rest more. I have had to pay for all the treatments i've had and have actually come to realise that the best treatments are free anyway, those being - rest, breathwork, meditation, cold water and patience.

I second that. You often hear and read things online from people who’ve managed to find doctors who are an exception to the rule. Lots of people struggle just by themselves while being ignored, misunderstood or even gaslit by the people who are supposed to be there for them.

I’m over 30’months out and awaiting a cardiac mri scan. I can’t even go for walks. I don’t feel like we have it good in the uk. Over 2 years of my life and I can’t walk, work or do normal things. I wish we were all forced to get health insurance so we could be seen much quicker. My respiratory consultant won’t see me till feb to give me test results to then move on from there. I feel like I’m stuck in hell. Im jealous of those who can afford to go private or have insurance, until then I try to battle through each day. The grass isn’t always greener ey

I can totally relate to how you feel Harvey. I'm 77 years old, and six months ago I contracted severe Covid, it really messed up my lungs. My doctor prescribed a new antiviral drug that started to ease my breathing after a few days. Then a week later I had a massive stroke. My wife came home two hours later to find me paralyzed on the bedroom floor. Incredibly I survived because I was quickly taken to hospital and operated on. I spent time in ICU after the operation, and have regained the use of my arms and legs which were paralyzed. I have been living with Long Covid since then, and like most I have better days sometimes and sometimes not. I know I should rest more often but I really want to get back to my pre Covid life. I never sleep right through the night now, and mornings take a couple of hours to get moving about. Lucky for me I'm retired, I feel sorry for those that have to work with Long Covid.

What a lot to go through! Amazing that you pulled through to where you are now, glad to hear you also regained movement in ya limbs! Yes i am also lucky as i do not have to work which i'm incredibly grateful for. Having trouble resting myself, especially now i can almost see the other side. Sorry for slow reply, your comment must have slipped through without me noticing. Really hope you get back to your old self.

@@26ELIANE43 Good to hear you are feeling better Eliane. I stopped the plant protean supplements after about 3 months. I think they definitely did help initially get the day started, but it's lifestyle things like exercise and good diet that work for me now. I walk every day for about half an hour and always feel better for that. However my sleep is still poor, but being retired I can catch up if I need to.

Hi ! I have a lot of support from friends and family, but nobody who's going through what I've been going through. Now I've just discovered your channel this morning and it feels pretty alright to hear from somebody with whom I can identify to that level. Sometimes, I don't know what I have, to what level it's physical or mental, if I'm going down- or uphill, etc. But one this is for damn sure, we have the saaaaame illness. No doubt. And also I feel like we react similarly, on a personal level. So just thank you for your... documentary ? It's pretty rare since we're all so damn tired and careful with our energy expenditure. Thanks Pat from Canada. I'm sure we will all heal in time. I think the body has to reset itself back to its original state. Just very tricky trying to work out how to guide it back home again. Thanks for getting in touch and I hope you find some relief down the old line of time. Harvey (from England)

I'm an ex ICU Covid19 patient who was hospitalised in April 2020, and I was back at work (NHS porter) within 7 weeks of discharge. There was no advice or help then, and I still haven't had any real follow up since April 2020. It has been case of get back to work and get on with life as best you can. My symptoms effect my daily life, but my underlying health issues (suspected cancer and thyroid issues) just add to the long covid.

I'm pretty sure I have long covid as well, but the only symptoms I have (that I'm aware of) is extreme exhaustion/fatigue during the day and I sleep like crap at night. Having to take 1-2 naps every day makes me thank god that I have a very relaxed WFH job or I would have lost my job.

Thanks for the update. Try rests that you enjoy, so it’s not like a task. Maybe add more breath work and meditations, during the day; you could experiment with different types to mixed it up and give you variety, see if you get different results from diverse styles. Then your putting more investment into the healing bank each day. Activity will be richer if it springs from the well of meditation and good rest! You’re doing good. Your life will, hopefully, have more depth after going through this. That’s what I want for myself too 🙌.

Yeah that's the thing is all the practices become something you want to get out the way. I always come full circle when i realise i'm jumping the gun. Good idea to mix it up and add in more a day. Life has started to feel that way already which is why i'm quite eager to get back to it. Have to steady myself so thanks for the reminder.

Great news! Go for it - and don’t overdo it ;) I’ve had a similar experience as you had with your tooth. I was fighting the inflammation more, and was able to keep it luckily. Recently got a break through using Mestinon. It gave me back my energy and switched off PEM. Look it up and check with your doc, maybe it’s helping you too?

Hey. I'm also in for a bit over a year now and I feel my symptoms start to decrease in intensity, but I still can't do much. I feel I'm more active in the house, move more often, I'm able to do 5 min of strength workout every other day and walk for about 15-20 min every couple of days. And rest for most of my day, still. And daily average 3000-3500 steps. But I'm still far from anything normal. How do you classify your 70% recovery? Is that from your precovid level, is that from how you experience the condition, that it improved 70% or how do you estimate? Are you able to function for few good hours without thinking how much you do? I'm just curious how people see these %, because even though I feel better, for myself I would still think I'm far far away from just being 100% recovered, exercising and doing everything I could do before. Thanks and good luck!
