As an FNP in family practice, I see patients getting 30-day prescriptions from the ER for BP meds.. most often lisinopril. Is this something you guys do on an urgent care setting, with recommended close follow-up with patient's PCP?

Do you start IVs in your urgent care? It's funny how they are all different. We ran fluids and antibiotics. I think that was more about competition in the area and making $$.

How many patients are you seeing per day? My local urgent care is now requiring we see 35-45 pts a day.

I worked in an UC. We saw as many patients who happened to walk through the door! One of our busiest locations could see 150 patients/day with 3 providers working. Another would see 75/day with 2 providers working.
