I just want you’ll to know that if you are out there and you are being really hard on yourself right now for something that has happened … it’s normal. That is what is going to happen to you in life. No one gets through unscathed. We are all going to have a few scratches on us. Please be kind to yourselves and stand up for yourself, please.

@ The 3 C's of Life is: choices, chances, Changes You must make a Choice to take a Chance or your life will never Change. Cynthia helped me and two of my friends pass the exam few years ago you're lucky I still have her info

NP here. My recommendation for new NPs is study, study and more studying. I try to read something on a daily basis. I have different books I read such as case files in neurology, internal medicine, psychiatry, etc.

Passed my AANP boards yesterday! I used your system review videos for last minute review when I was tired of reading and practice tests. Then reviewed your dump sheets that morning. Can’t wait to follow your new NP videos as I transition into the role. :)

Yes please!!! I am also a new primary care NP and uptodate is nice, but i def find myself going on that too much. I can’t be doing that especially if I am expected to think on the spot, regarding things that I haven’t heard of before! Thank you for the video 🤍

Can you please post that sideshow you were referring to of the common things you're seeing in Urgent Care? I'm very interested to see that. Thanks!

Do you work in ER as NP too? Are you planning on working in ER or are you just wanting to work in Urgent care? Which do you like better?

Hi, congratulations on your career! How old are your boys? I am 30 with a newborn and looking to going into NP school but want another child. Any advice for juggling school and new mom life?
@BrittaniNP3 жыл бұрын
They are 6 and 3! I think mom life and NP school can definitely work, you just really have to manage your time well and prioritize. Social life...hobbies... things like that may suffer lol, but remember it's only temporary!

I shadowed for two, 4 hour shifts, before I began working on my own.

Omg I just passed my boards and will be starting at urgent care next week so I’m looking for any resources you can provide please! I’m nervous and excited and like you was/an ER and icu nurse for years but it’s a big transition.
@BrittaniNP3 жыл бұрын
Yay, congratulations!! The resources that got/ get me by are the EMRA antibiotic study guide, the Practice Guidelines for Family Nurse Practitioners by Fenstermacher and Hudson and UpToDate. Also, review x-rays! I did make a video on Indications for X-rays, that would be a really helpful review, before starting at the UC. Good luck & let me know how it goes!

I cant find a job in a urgent care. am new FNP in Michigan, but because I lack suturing skills, no urgent care will hire me.
@hhc19482 жыл бұрын
I learned with a suturing kit and watching KZbin videos on suturing. Real easy, you can do it.
