Long Distance Guided Walks: Gipping Valley River Walk (Stowmarket to Ipswich)

The Gipping Valley River Walk is a 17 mile long trail that begins in the Suffolk town of Stowmarket and follows the River Gipping Tow Path south east into the heart of Ipswich, eventually ending at the historic Marina.
The route can be completed in one long day but also can be broken down over several days. I completed this in 3 parts due to time restraints stopping at Needham Market and Great Blakenham and using public transport to arrive back at the start. The entire route is well served by Bus and Train links.

Just completed the walk, from Ipswich to Stowmarket - 28th June 2020. A pleasant walk, very slightly marred by incomplete signage, however a worse problem was the overgrown path in many places, all of the worst things, nettles, thistles, blackberries, wild rose. We had intended to retrace our steps, in the end we used the B1113, not ideal, but it saved our legs.

Seems to be a more common issue with paths not being maintained by councils :(
