Long Island Railroad : Queens Village Station Train Action Featuring All Kinds Of Trains

A compilation video of all the train footage I shot at Queens Village station, all trains seen here are M3s, M7s, Bi-Levels and some that are out of the ordinary

I used to live in Queens Village. The station has had a makeover but the fun is still there. If you are a rail fan then bring a cup of coffee, your camera and enjoy!

Wow! I grew up in Queens Village back in the 50's. Looks like the Queens Theatre is still standing on Jamaica Avenue and Springfield Blvd. We used to go to the station to "look at trains." The signal bridge at the East end of the station is still as I remember it 50 years ago, as is the tower.

Was born and grew up in Rockville Centre and then we moved to Sayville. I used to commute daily from Sayville to Hunterspoint. Having traveled all over Europe and the Far East, and riding in the high speed trains they have, the US is 100 years behind in rail travel. However, the LIRR has come a long way from the days when I used to ride it.

the train at the 8:15 mark should be the train to Montauk since it has 8 cars and that one always has 8 cars

There is a small siding between Queens Village and Hollis. It held about 50 freight cars total.

I'm pretty sure it served some kind of factory or warehouse, but I forget which one. The TrainsAreFun website might have something on this.
