I’ve lived on Long Island my whole life(grew up in Deer Park and Babylon but now live in Ronkonkama) and I never even heard of or been to Nissequegue, Sapaponack, and Napeaque. They honestly sound like made up Long Island town names lmao

Missed Syosset, the number of different pronunciations I have heard are hillarious

I lived in LI my whole life and never even heard of the last one (Napeague) and got the pronunciation wrong too. Now I can understand if you're not from here, how easy it is to mispronounce these town names.
