After watching your clips, this one stood out to me, and the only way I can describe the difference, is that in this piece the emotions seemed to be driving the voice, and in the others the voice was trying to drive the emotions. I have been watching you as The Vocalyst for quite some time now. I enjoy your station not only for the music you review (I'm 58, so keep checking out the Classic/Hair/Heavy Metal rock!) but because of your presence. You have a passion and enjoyment of music that shines through. And your smile and positive attitude in general make watching you a pleasure. So many people try to find fault or disparage things that seeing someone find the good in songs she might not like that much is just so refreshing. Like others, I had never seen videos of you singing. I knew I would love your voice, so loving this video was not a shock. What is quite stunning though is I had long wanted to suggest this Linda Ronstadt gem to you for review. I feel it is one of Linda's best vocal performances and that is saying something. The other surprising thing is seeing you without your trademark smile. But, the seriousness and sadness you show while performing this suit the song and likely help you channel the feel better. Kudos to you. I am happy to see your talent for singing equals your talent for music reviews. Please keep up BOTH types of videos and I promise to keep watching..

Fantastic vocal skills. I do feel it important to add that they would be a lot better appreciated if captured by a condenser mic in a controlled room and then properly treated with reverb or any other effects desired in post production, and then mixed with the instrumental track, then mastered. Nowadays this can easily be done at home for a very low cost. I really look forward to hearing more from you in the future!

Never heard her before. The room sound needs work. Her voice is different from talking voice, usually indicates a great voice. Bethany, take up guitar. Check out Liona Boyd, (classical), Al DiMeola (for sheer inspiration and technique) Mohini Dey(stunning bass, STUNNING). The last one was my outlier pick. 😂

Beautiful performance! Wish I could sing high notes. I am female and a have a low register and would probably be better off singing alto but that doesn’t come natural either. I took one year of Voice in college but didn’t get very far with it probably due p to the fact that I don’t have a musical background. Oh, well. Some have it & some don’t 🙃 I do enjoy all kinds of music and still love learning about it so, really enjoy your channel. Thanks for sharing🦋
