It makes no sense that Peacelover never made inferno cannons and flamers? He had excal pinned in his base at such an early stage and excal had no buggies or anything. The only range he had was like a single scud launcher. Infernos could have created huge firestorms on the front lines of excals base and he would have no answer to that at all. Its like peacelover completely forgot he had units specifically designed to counter the campy base that excal was forced into

I wish he tried artillery. He became passive when he noticed the defenses were too thick, but instead of building the counter he just ground to a halt. Would be interesting if he just tried inferno cannons and then also send a few dragons from the side. Maybe when he hit 5* he couldve leveled up nuke cannons, get the neutron shells, and then have one clear out the tunnel network while the others nuke the defenses.

fire the artillery and fire the nuke after 6-7 seconds so nuke hits right before artillery thats how you do it

The throw of all throws. Just a bunch of infernos or nuke cannons and it was gg. Just have like 10 airfields with migs or anything but the outpost PeaceLover played so well until he cornered Excal, but then he was like "now what? I didn't expect to get that far" I think he was constantly scared of giving too much time for Excal so he kept going in small batches of units. I dunno Anyway GG Thanks for the 1 hour replay cast.

He had already penetrated Excal’s base early on. He could have pushed in with what he had and the eventual sacrifice would have made for an unrecoverable situation for Excal. Additionally, it seems to me he could have pushed through earlier again on the north west side of Excals base. Very interesting match!

awesome game though I even think the advantage was so big around 25 mins that this may be a rare case where out-camping the GLA would have won. Even just holding the offensive line with outposts & migs and then going full on hackers+nukes behind it would probably have worked

This game really highlights two things I've noticed about "top level play" in ZH. Firstly, Excal isn't the best because of his exceptional micro, nor his exceptional macro, nor some unique knowledge or insight or profound skill. He's the best simply because his play is consistent, and he knows how to defend a lost game. Secondly, no one makes proper use of china's strengths. Every single china game that goes long, china tends to lose, while making dozens of mistakes along the way. Mathematically speaking, china shouldn't be that bad. I suspect people's expectation that china will be weaker, and constantly playing the same bad strats that are known to be losing, are why china has this reputation. Inf can definitely take GLA as an equal.

Peacelover could've had better success earlier if he'd used a Nuke to hole the base defenses of GLA then pushed-in with Outposts, ECMs, and Dragon tanks.....(even right up the middle!). He could've sent his Carpet Bomber over the top of that push to kill the GLA Army as soon as it engaged and the ECM along with it to zap the first two SCUD Storms - then work his way towards them with his army. Once those are dead, you can keep the new ones that pop up killed with Artillery and Nukes - even if that push fails to finish the game.

Very disappointed by Mary's play. He could've easily won the game. With all those nukes+artillery he really shouldn't have gotten hit scuds to the face. + the nuke advantage he could've easily won. He didn't even use any flamer, infernos, nuke cannon, etc.

I already made a commment of this on another video of yours but, see, this is why I am frustrated Starcraft of all games is such a popular e-sport when it is just the worst possible game for that: I don't know htis game well enough, but I could understand what was going on. I could see a chinese player trying to push through and the GLA just doing what any insurgent would do and holding the line for it's dear life, and slowly weakening china cuz this insurgents can just win any attrition exchange. This just makes sense, I can get it without being a pro at the game. I can even see where Merry failed, he had an advantage he didn't capitalize, and I could see that the GLA can just spread out it's buildings better so in an exchange of super weapons the GLA is gonna win.
