Are wave traps important? I haven't seen other people applying wave trap piece? Also, is coax cable length soldered to reflector mandatory for proper RF signal? Can I solder flat bulkhead SMA connector directly to reflector (instead of coax cable) and attach straight to similar adapter you used without any penalties? (I've seen that on GrabCAD)

Well wavetrap is not essential but it lowers the SWR so better efficiency making it a wise choice to install. The coax length also has some effect on the signal quality due to impedance but i think if you use a sma connector directly that's just fine too afterall it's going to be a diy antenna. I still have to do a real environment test of these antennas I've built..only then will i be able to confirm if it's really working and beneficial.

I tested it for comparison with vas 5.8ghz patch antenna although not long range. Didn't find much difference but will have to test thoroughly

Is it possible to built in same way a 2.4ghz antenna for the radio transmiter ?

You can build a 2.4ghz helical but i am not sure if it'll be ideal for a radio transmitter. You may want to look at a moxon for 2.4ghz?
