This is a rig that we used during the Keystone Dam fishing video for stripers using flukes. It can cast super long distances and then suspend your lure so you won't get hung up.

Damn! I haven't fished below the turbines at Keystone dam for at least 13 years. I used to fish for striper there every day. Before work and after. Filled many a stringer with5 to 15 pound fish very often. Thanks for your videos

Noob question - what's a good weight jug to use when dam fishing

Also, if you look up salmon striker floats they are good in conjunction with a bobber stop. That way you can run the bobber stop 20 feet into your reels spool and still cast with it. When you cast it the weight will stop sinking when it hits the bobber stop.

He is fishn shallow with this rig. It's no need to use that bobber stop and so many snags below a dam to contend with not to mention lost equiptment and time lost to tying knots

Braided line is better for bobber fishing because it floats... Mono sinks causing your hookset to be soggy, or even pulling the bait from the fish while trying to reel in your slack before the hookset.

I used to live in texas and fished the Dennison Dam below Texoma. I am looking for the larger weighted bobbers. The tackle shop at the dam had some glow in the dark ones. Where can i find the larger bobbers? The ones with the balls and main cork? I am relocated to NJ

Depends on how deep the fish is staging at. Usually 2-3 ft is normal for us

How about this time of year I was there yesterday and was using 2oz sinkers with a 4inch swim jig about a foot up from the sinker and caught one but kept losing rigs the float seems a lot better

Tee Vang it's leader material not metal weight. what is wrong with you people? the lead line or leader is the leading part of the assembly. Maxima is a brand of fishing line in this case used as leader material. get the lead out bro! :D
