Cisko Master Gunfighter

Күн бұрын

It has been a long time since I have posted for technical reasons so I thought it was only fitting that I post a long range shot. This is a 100 yard shot done with a single action revolver, from the hip, on a timer. In under a SECOND. Hope you enjoy. Nice to be back let me know what you think.

That hat is a Vintage Eddy's California hat, And are still made as vintage eddy's little joe gambler hats but the later ones many have the three vent holes on the side being that they are being produced as sub contracted hat makers. The stetsons are too large in overall diameter to be the hat in this video.

@@CiskoMasterGunfighter Dude, I wrote a friggin mini-novel in your comments. Sorry bout that. Ur rockin a complete cool look. I look just like that.....to myself. 67, still a contractor, barely, and wear all black when not in BDU's. Didn't start wearing all black as a concious decision, it just kind of evolved. Didn't even realize I was doin it until I wore something "not black" and several folks told me "hey, you're not wearing all black". I looked down at myself and said "sheite, I'm not wearing all black". Had the long hair before it was cool. When you bout had to fight to keep it. Fortunately I've been in gun fighting business over 40yrs so I never actually had to fight anyone. Helps if you earn "you're phuking crazy" early on. Saves a lot of problems. Or talk. Hopefully I'm crazy like a fox but how do you know from the inside. Greatly admire your skill but guessin I'm one of millions. Hope your still rockin the wee-pons and the look....I'll check on ya via this here cyberweb. Ever get to SE Tennessee look me up. Easy to do....channel is us but wife will answer. Or answer email. He is obviously positioned for an extreme quick draw. I’m willing to bet in a gunfight he would still lay you negative people down quicker than you could touch your weapon. That is, if you even own guns. If you knew anything about shooting firearms you would give him the credit he’s earned.

I'm glad I came back to re-watch this, because some key details need to be explained; 1. The average human reaction time is approximately 200-300 Milliseconds, that's 0.20 - 0.30 Seconds. That's the amount of time it takes for the human brain to INTERPRET a signal, formulate a nerve-impulse and direct it to the various muscles of the body. 2. Cisko got that NEAR-PERFECT shot off in 0.58 seconds. Taking .20 seconds off of that 0.58 means that it ACTUALLY took 300 MILLISECONDS (about 1/3'd of a second) for him to move a pistol three feet, AIM without AIMING, and fire off a round to strike a target CENTER MASS from a FOOTBALL FIELD away.. (Fact: Cisko's fastest draw was 0.280s ... which means this man can draw, aim and shoot a target faster than the AIRBAG can fully deploy in a modern sedan)

Is there any model or cartridge of single action that is held to be the most accurate?

(CAUTION:Longest, most boring comment EVER. Partly bout shooting then life story or 3 then miracles that have kept me here. Sponsored by PTSD. The gift that keeps you up. Nights and weekends. I would stop here. Bless you if you don't) In 1972 I drew a High Standard 22LR western type revolver from a low ride western holster and hit a washing machine from the hip at over 200yds. Gotta be a state record anyway since I live in the "Patron State of Shootin Stuff". Yeah, luck was involved but I learned hip and "point" shooting by shooting about a million BBs out of a Winchester Spittin Image lever action BB gun that I knocked the front sight off of right after my parents got it for me. Parents could do that in the 60's. No way to fix it so I shot it that way until I graduated to real guns. At least 2 or 4 years. Still have the BB gun. If you're not familiar with one the only way to tell it from a real Model 94 lever action 30-30 was to look at the bore or notice the plastic instead of wood. The action worked exactly like the real thing. Could set the hammer to half cock and then had to full cock it to fire. It loaded thru the side loading gate. I also read every Zane Grey western that he wrote so I had a lot of mental gun fightin training. Even named one son after him. I later switched to Louis L'Amour but couldn't bring myself to name other son after him. You may have seen him painting vehicles on "Texas Metal". Doesn't get much mention but is one of the best painters in the country at this time. Not only my opinion....was contacted a few months by his hero, Jesse James, about comin to work for him. Would have to move to Texas tho. I thot it would be good move but since we disagree on 99% of things he will probably stick with his shop here in SE Tennessee. Oh yeah, shooting. The "cowboy way" in that you hit what you're lookin at and don't use the sights except for long shots. As law enforcement officer, personal security and contractor for over 40yrs I've been fortunate to have received excellent training and in my first academy in 1975 we didn't actually use the revolver sights until the 25yd line. 7yds was kinda like Cisco was shooting and 12yd was called "point shoulder" back then. The weapon was up in your line of sight but like the name implies you were pointing the weapon like pointing your finger while looking across the top of the gun. All those years of shooting from the hip with that BB gun paid off. Even after I got 22LR rifles I still shot mostly from the hip....it was just natural to me by then. Before all these "training" operations became in vogue there was a for real training school near Atlanta owned by Werbell, I think that's the right spelling, and his range instructor starter shooters off with, yep, BB guns. From the hip or point shoulder. Starter out shooting at basketballs tossed in the air. Graduated shooting pingpong balls or smaller. Of course ther was the standard other firearms training but it showed that what I had done by accident and necessity was a good thing after all. I decided at very young age that I did not like killing animals of any kind, almost, for sport so I don't hunt at all. Don't even fish. Do NOT have any problem with folks who do, it's a necessary thing and a great sport but it just made me feel bad so I still hunt, just different deal. Like many of you i move turtles out of the road. Of course they usually turn right around. Makes me feel bad to run over anything. Really feel bad when we hit deer. Really bad. Between our house and the interstate, for example, a distance of just over a mile, we have counted over 150 on one occasion at night and that's just what was close to the road. Ya'll probably know the rule that if you see one crossing in front of you and it makes it, stay hard on the brakes because the rest of the family is coming. One neighbor hit 3 at one time. In our rural area it can be deer, cows, horses, hogs, etc. Every drive is an adventure. BUT, I did shoot rats. Them big city sized monster rats at an illegal huge dump near where I lived on the side of a mountain. It must have been a hundred years old and was probably over a hundred feet deep. The BB gun only pissed em off so I started with a .410 bolt action shotgun. When that got kinda easy changed to a Savage/Glenfield 22LR semi-auto rifle. Still have em both. Got pretty good with it and then a brick layer I worked for durin summer break loaned me that High Standard revolver. It looked like a single action but was double. Held 9 rounds. I decided that I would not aim with it either but draw and shoot the cowboy way to shoot at the rats....and a lot of not moving cans. I must have fired a thousand rounds before I hit a fast moving rat. Close range or up to probly 30yds. Once I got the hang of it and the draw smooth I could at least hit one in four or five. On a good day. There were thousands of rats but it got more difficult to find targets. I could share a creepy story about the "hive like intelligence" of rats but no one would believe me unless they have had a similar experience. I have only had similar experiences or yes, fear, in foreign countries just before sheite hit the fan firefights. Doubt anyone reads all my drivel but if you want to hear it I guess I can share it. Creeps me out 50yrs later just thinking about it. Anyway, PTSD and me have done it again and wrote a mini-novel instead of a comment but this is supposed to be like therapy for me. I do not have crippling PTSD and you don't have to go to war for it to be on you but I stay at Level Orange 24/7. Don't sleep much and seldom at night. Hence writing what no one will see at 4:30 to 5:30am. I also have trouble thumb typing on this tablet. Well, where it's readable anyway. Plus I'm kinda grounded after just goin thru 33rd surgery and 17th under general anaesthesia. Friggin 4th cancer. When they removed my right kidney and bigassed tumor in 1997 I was told that the odds of it hitting my left kidney were near astronomical. Guess I should get an award or something because it got me again but at least, due to another undeserved miracle, this one was spotted early and now they can do surgery on a kidney and not have to remove it. Took five holes in my abdomen but darn well worth it. Hopefully. But at 67 I figure I'm pretty much out of time. Was almost back in shape after spinal fusion to take a few more missions as a contractor but in 2 months time a near head on car crash, a routine eye surgery gone bad, then a mystery illness with a 105° temperature and here I am in the mancave writing on air. Oh yeah, mite as well share the miracle. A few weeks ago my wife got up early, as she always does, and noticed from the kitchen level that my door was open but I wasn't in bed. Not in my bathroom. Not unusual but when she returned to the kitchen she heard me talking out back. Figured I was talkin to a cop friend. Not unusual, but when she looked outside I was leaning on the hood of my Suburban wearing my sleep pants, tank top and holding a military jacket from a country I work in. When she came outside she could hear me planning an op with my team except, of course, my team wasn't there. I didn't know who she was and was a bit upset that she couldn't understand me. She has been thru so much with me in our 50 years together, she gets over 800 years credit, that she didn't panic. Knew something was wrong but was dealing with it. First thing was to get me back to bed. That's when she noticed how hot my skin was. Wound up at ER, admitted, got fever down and me back to my normal at least. While searching for cause of fever they did CT of my abdomen and either a computer or radiologist spotted a small lesion on my remaining kidney. Never found the cause of my fever, tho pumped me full of antibiotics, but if had not gotten sick and no CT I would be dead man walking sooner than might be expected. These type kidney cancers are not symptomatic until they spread to other organs like lungs, liver and so on and by then it's usually too late. The other tumor was the same size and shape as my kidney and fooled 5 doctors and a radiologist and no one would speculate on how long it took to grow that big. Hopefully the robot that did the actual surgery this time got it all. Won't know for a week or so. I died in a terrible car crash in 1978. Did the NDE, near death experience, and got to come back so every day since June, 1978 has been a bonus and a gift so while I may mention incidents about my health I will NEVER complain. Not with millions worse off than me. Especially our soldiers and first responders. I'm 67 and have had 25 plus breaks and fractures including shattered pelvis that wasn't fixed as I would soon be dead. That's what the doctors told my then young wife, but to look at me you would never know anything had ever happened to me. I don't know why I'm still here and dont believe I deserved any miracles but try not to question em. Just sorry I haven't done more to pay em back. Tho I have tried. Would apologize for this way too long whatever this is but I usually go back and put a warning at the start. So ya'll take care, all none of ya that read this. Remember this if nothing else: "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing". Edmund Burke

How many shots before he scored? Just wondering. I could spend the rest of my life with unlimited ammo and never pull it off.
