Steve's mindset and way of thinking is so uncannily like my Grandads was as I grew up. He was a brilliant match angler with a more progressive, open, analytical mind than anyone ive known. lucky for me he was also an inspired teacher, so clever in how he said and did things that forced me to learn for myself whilst making sure I avoided the bad habits. Anglers that have that kind of understanding, that comes from a much deeper/fundamental place come along once or twice in a generation (Nuddy, Ringer for eg.) My Grandad fished the banks alongside Nudd, Ashurst, Dennis W and Tommy P to name a few so I'm hoping that means I'm gonna get a chance to kick Ringers butt at some point too😉😊
