After seeing many who have tested this on the internet. I almost had to show what I liked and what i did not like. Not everything is as good as many people say it is on the internet

Thank you for that, I paid for it at least with my own money and therefore I feel that I can confidently say what I want about the product as well. It does work, but it's not at the top of the market

I've used mine free hand on railway cars at 4980 yards clear day with the sun high to left/right I don't remember, but definitely not looking into the sun or at with the sun at my back. I would say the rest of my field experience is similar to yours as far as ranging capabilities. The closest in quality glass that I have I can compare to is a 7x50 Steiner Navigator Pro w/compass, which at a different power level I find hard to really compare. But I have had the wow factor with the Steiner's when I got them, and I did as well when I got the Fury 5000's. I think the lense covers are for when you're not using the chest harness, the harness should provide adequate protection with out them. I never really used the harness that came with it, I bought an Alaskan Guide Series HBS Classic with M.A.X pocket before I had even purchased these binos, never looked back. To each their own, but if you ditch the lense covers when using the pack you'll like the experience much more.

Yes completely agree with what you write. These are good binoculars, but I feel that I had extremely high expectations due to the fact that many who are sponsored have made films online where they brag a little too much.

@@RondaneLongRangeRLR I think I know what is going on here. Vortex made glass available at a price point that normally folks like myself would never have been able to afford. So to say I suppose I was "easily impressed"? I don't really know.

A buddy has a set of these. Very nice bino/rangefinder. We’ve ranged out to 2800 yards. I have the Terrapin X and it’s one +/- 1 yard. My Terrapin is faster but not by much. I like the binoculars and rangefinder in 1 unit. If you really need something better you’ll have to go with the Leica Geovid.

Totally agree with what you write. Leika is clearly in a completely different class. But unfortunately also in another price class. But I hope one day I can afford it

Yes I have tested the difference now. Leika is faster but starts to struggle halfway in length to what Fury starts to struggle

Hi rondane Thanks for the reply,but what I meant by beam divergence was the size of the beam as the distance increases the beam gets bigger this becomes a problem when trying to range small targets ,I was trying to find out if the vortex has tighter angle than the leica, Thanks

2500 meters is no problem, longest so far is 3082 meters. Butt that is without a tripod. With tripod and nice conditions maby longer

Klips kun av på ene siden. Så tar du den på på som litt som en sekk mens du holder den løse. klips på og du er klar enkelt og raskt. samme i revers. funker hvertfall bra på kuiu sin versjon.

LOL.....guarantee is about like everyone's....except usually need to use it w/vortex,....personally I will never own vortex again because of such overpriced underquality china sourced junk,....I had terrible experience with vortex aswell as 4 friends on a group buy on scopes in Dec.2013. i wish you good luck & please keep us posted.....Thanks fer sharing Bud.

I have no experience with Vortex, so it will be exciting. I have other things that are higher on the wish list but it was this that could measure far and that the wallet allowed now
