The Mauser 98 action is the basis for most modern actions such as the Winchester M70 and Remington 700. The US rifle M1903 Springfield was a direct copy of the Mauser 98 with the exception being that the case extractor cut out was placed in the barrel instead of the action. I have built many rifles using a military surplus actions. This design was ahead of the times.

I am starting out on PRS after a 20 years off from the STR (Have been shooting a lot of 300m and field during my youth) and have now brought out the old gun from the safe again (First time for... years that I'm shooting an STR again. But I must say; the gun feels just as familiar as it did 20 years ago) I am on the look for a chassis and I have been reading a lot of Vision, LRD Jet and also the Viking chassis. The Bolthorn can though be found on the used market for a good price both here in Sweden and in Norway (Were I happen to work) - What would you say is the strength and weaknesses with the Bolthorn compare to for example the JET that I see you are using now. Also; can a 22lr conversion kit på installed on those chassis? And if so; can it be installed without removing the receiver from the chassis? Great channel! Keep the good work up. Hei, jeg har begynt litt med PRS og har satt en Tikka T3 6,5x55 i et Oryx chassis. Kulene må settes litt dypere i hylsa for å passe i magasinene. Lurte litt på å bruke Norma 130 GT og Norma 19 krutt. Kula må settes til COL 74,5. Til nå har jeg skutt med det jeg har hatt tilgjengelig. Lapua 100 grains Scenar fabrikk, og ladet opp en del 123 grains Scenar med N140 krutt (slappe ladninger for å trene). Noen synspunkter fra en erfaren? Mvh Tryggve

Nice Video. Following from Denmark. Im young and shoot a lot, not to much longrange because there are not many places in denmark to shoot over 300m... On the cam setings, i am a bit more tech-mindet. You will get the best video of 1920*1080 in 120 fps. That full HD = fine quality and the 120 fps is how many pictures pr sec the cam takes. The more fps the more smooth. Then you hunt with it, mabye set the 2720*1520 30 fps so you get a bit cleaner hunting video with it. Then you dont uploade on youtube in 4k there is no reason for your camara to record in 4k. It make a little diffrent, but not much. Sorry for my bad english

As someone who lives where we have snow for more of the year than in most of the U.S., your winter shooting videos are an inspiration to me. It’s -8° F (-22° C) at the moment here, but I hope to get to the range tomorrow when it warms up a bit.
