Russia has never imported missiles from NK or Iran, which is just made up evidence free US accusations. Russia does however import shells from NK. The DIFFERENCE being that ONLY NATO and the US can control and target the missiles that they send to Ukraine, which means NATO and the US are indirectly at war with Russia. Which MEANS Russia has every legal right to defend themselves and target NATO and US military targets. That's the difference.

The gradual introduction of NATO into the war, does not allow you to clearly define the line between advisors and direct participation. But everything has a limit, when even a skeptic will say that it is direct NATO involvement. In addition, strikes in depth may carry greater risks to Russia's economy and stability. So it is difficult to understand when the critical mass will be gained and what step will be the last one. But everything has a limit of patience. Japan attacked Pearl Harbor because it couldn't wait any longer, it was a gift for the US to turn public opinion in the other direction. Maybe they also want to get hit on NATO territory first.

From the start of the war, Putin is firing at/targeting Ukrainian civilians and Ukrainian infrastructure, NATO should just draw a line (set a date) and put it back on Putin - from this date xxx, for each missile targeting civilians or civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, the Ukrainians will have the right to fire a long range missile back into Russia. Its then up to him whether long range missiles are used against him or not. At this stage he is just playing the West (successfully).

So Putler thinks NATO is currently NOT involved in the war. What is the range of a long range missile by the way? i.e. how many miles/km is defined as long range? If Ukrainians and others were smart, the language would change to might include "longer / extended range", not "long range". In fact why even advertise the range to the enemy ??? Seems a tad silly. Perhaps keep it somewhat ambiguous, so red lines become grey and slightly blurry. Ukraine requires at least double the anti air capacity it currently has. Ukraine has the missile technology. They have their own long range cruise missiles and drones. It just lacks the production capacity. That's where the west can help. Provide parts to order for Ukraine's own designs, rather than keep giving these longer range weapons. They have to manage the risks. The bigger issue is about what targets are deemed legitimate.

Treaties govern missile ranges and specification, Due to corruption ukraine has lost most of its weapon manufacture capabilities, they didnt really invest and or produce many tanks, missiles besides rockets, no aircraft even though they used to have alot of industry based there.
