Looking forward to playing this. We have a large game group always good to have another game to play with the whole group. Games that work well at 7 or 8 are rare.

One of the few complaints I have with the game is minor, but I wish the 8 sided color die was a bit bigger...sometimes its not easy to see the number and color across the table.

Target is stocking it now, both online and in stores. Saw it in store today, otherwise would not have known about it for a good while. Looks very intriguing. $30 price tag.

This is a Camel Up killer for me….. both have a high player count and this has a lot more things to think about on your turn.

Absolutely not. They are different enough for me to warrant owning both. Camel Up works best at 6-7 players, Long Shot is best at 3. Also, my 7-11 year old neices and nephews have really enjoyed Camel Up and Long Shot doesn't have the table presence, humour and easability as Camel Up.

I would always rather play long shot as well. We're keeping our Camel Up because my kids prefer that one currently. 😁

Played it solo, have won a lot more than I have lost but super fun time. I'm now giving 2 starting cards to the bot. If that doesn't help, maybe 1 and then roll for a horse and it's theirs.

Played my first (solo) game of this today and it is terrific. I’m almost 100% solo in my board gaming but I might just try to scrape together a few friends because I can see this being an amazing party game for medium-level gamers.

Thanks for the review, Zee. This game has been hard to find but I just picked up an exclusive Barnes and Noble bookstore edition. Don’t know what the difference is between this and the regular edition. Looks like a super fun game! Can’t wait to try it out.

This seems to do to the original Long Shot what The Cure did to Pandemic. It captures all the best parts in a shorter faster pace.

My friend and I have been playing this game recently. I do like the game, however I can't help but compare it to Camel Up (2nd edition). I enjoy the betting in this game more. However, I enjoy the rolling of Camel Up better.

Looks pretty good. However I dont like dry erase marker games. As my markers dry out within a year.... better they supply us with like 100+ printed paper sheets

@@viktorkm I think part of the reason is that you also mark who gets those secondary movements (so you'd need duplicates of the horse cards), and your cash and bets are often changing, so you'd need to either keep crossing them out, or erasing them.
