Shoot your legs what I mean by shoot your legs is fully extend them at the top of your release to produce the most power
@jakobherbst7538 Жыл бұрын
You have to put more power behind your snap, incorporate your legs more to get the ball faster but don’t sacrifice the accuracy

Is it ok to wear gloves while long snapping?
@SpecialTeamsU3 жыл бұрын
It is ok. It’s not for everyone but if you can afford new gloves when yours wear out then you can make it work.

@@SpecialTeamsU I watch collage long snappers from kohls camps And when they fire there hips back there legs go strait is that flexibility and how do I get there.
@SpecialTeamsU2 жыл бұрын
@@colin8952 we don’t teach the slide back. If you watch any other throwing or striking sports, creating a block and controlling your body is extremely important. When you try to lock your legs hard, slide, or hop back you lose the ability to efficiently transfer energy from your body into the ball.

@@SpecialTeamsU ok when I watch collage long snappers snap the ball in slow motion they pickup the ball a couple of inches off the ground is that naturally suppose to happen

My form is right and everything but my ball still goes all over the place. How can I fix that? Like my ball is very inconsistent

I was so good before and now my ball doesn’t even go into a spiral. How can I fix that?
@SpecialTeamsU4 жыл бұрын
A lot of inconsistency stems from a lack of body control. Let’s set up a virtual lesson so I can evaluate your technique and get you some corrections to work on.

Why are you wearing gloves while snapping? Just curious, never seen that before.
@SpecialTeamsU4 жыл бұрын
@@DonVolanteIII Luke wears gloves because he is a former linebacker and always just kept his gloves on when transitioning to snapping. Its not necessary and I don't even recommend it, but if you like to do it, its fine. I only have a few clients that wear gloves. Most do not.

how do I get the spiral when I flick my wrists cos it feels unnatural to flick my wrists and throw it back at the same time while snapping
@SpecialTeamsU2 жыл бұрын
It all starts with your grip. Your hand placement will produce a spiral if you just flick your wrists. I’d be happy to show you how!

@@SpecialTeamsU I've practiced for 15 mins a day and now I can get a spiral but I can't get a tight spiral and I also can't get the hangtime and accuracy. Also I can't snap a spiral when it's raining and when the ball is super dry

how do I snap it with more power, more hangtime and make.it go higher and further?
