These look good. I am using the Surly Corner Bar on my Beargrease, which does much the same as the Woodchipper in spread, but is compatible with the MTB brakes and shifters.

What about using flared bars on a cx bike? How do you choose which one to get? I am finding that I prefer a flared bar for comfort and control. A set came on an old schwinn le tour 74 I think the bars are like 38 cm the flare is just right but the tops are to narrow . What would you recommend. See my video about this bike

Couple quick thoughts: 1) if being used for 'cross racing, you probably want to look at whatever regulations are out there re: max width and possibly flare. Our Cowbell bar has the least flare. 2) if not used for racing 'cross, then it really is all about fit and my encouragement would be to start with Cowchipper bar. Wider-than-shoulder-length drop bars are increase loads on chest, shoulders and arms due to the unusual position. Overall, there are more tiring.

I understand some flare for graveling as you get out the saddle frequently and due to the more-forward position you need more space for your knees so they do not hit the bar ends. Yet those wider suggestions presented in this video are too wide as they force your wrists into an awkward position (plus, they look incredibly stupid).
