I did a collection for health concerns in a separate journal. It have a bunch of thibgs i researched abt period cramps, allergies and 1 time i got depressed. I filled like 10 pages. Resolved my depression/anxiety after college and forgot about that journal. I also wrote abt things i should do to keep up during rain season. I think i will make a list of more ideas & things to do when stressed or caught a cold and stuffs.

I started the same thing several years ago because I quickly figured out that setting up long term lists like birthdays, and other long term lists with every new bujo was not good use of time. Some lists I also include are Favorite You Tube channels, Favorite essential oils, Fountain pen collection, Journaling prompts, date night ideas.

I love this. I’m thinking of combining it with a yearly one. Off to find the new video of that. Also do you have a new flip through of this journal? Also Crayola will sent you a swatch pdf for all their products if you need.

This was a great flip through. Really like your questions at the beginning-does this belong in this space? I also like how minimal the pages look, but they are also clean and fresh. I do have a collections journal, not sure how effective it is. Some of my categories have a lot of things glued in. I had a calendar of beautiful places in Ireland one year and so in my places I want to visit, I cut out the actual pictures with the title of the place so I know exactly where to go. Chocolate I love with the label and my rating Bookstores around the world Libraries I want to visit around the world I have stuffed some travel ephemeral items like when we were on the Oregon coast, we went on this or that trip etc. That might be better in its own bujo. More of a memory book. That’s it for now. Need a quotes journal (might be better in digital format), books read, books TBR-not sure yet.

Love this. It always annoyed me how often I'd have to transfer things from one Bujo to the next when they were full. Now I use Notion as a long term collections journal and my Bujos for my usual day to day and yearly stuff. I find this much easier as the space never runs out and I can swap and change things without having to cross things out or redo a whole page. It's the system I'm happiest with - feel like I have best of both worlds!

I would definitely be interested of a swatching stream for the pens by colour. While I might not be able to catch it live due to timezone differences, I do enjoy watching your streams afterwards while working on my own journals. Either way, this video was again super helpful. It's nice to see what your long-term collections journal contains, and tbh the videos where you worked on setting yours up were what originally sparked my interest in maybe trying to get into bullet journals in general. 💜

I found this really helpful. I need a Kong term journal! I wonder how it might relate to a 5 year journal.
@JashiiCorrin Жыл бұрын
The different between the two for me is that my 5 year journal is going to be for daily reflections (what happened today, did I face any challenges, etc.) whereas my long-term collections journal is more for reference materials 😄💜
@MsJDH87 Жыл бұрын
Hey Jess, how often would you say you reference your collections journal? Do you find yourself actually using/referring to all your reference pages? Thinking of setting one up but not sure it's worth it.
@JashiiCorrin Жыл бұрын
The most helpful ones are by far the swatch pages for me. Other collections that I tend to refer to are the ones related to “what could I include in” so stuff like the new journal layouts, things in put in a weekly spread, etc. some of the collections are relatively new, so I’m not too sure how much use they will be getting just yet, but a chunk of the other ones are more like nice to haves 😊 realistically, I probably didn’t need a full 160 page notebook for this type of journal, but I am particular wanted to have it on a paper type that was similar to what I was actually using in my other journals 💪 that way any of the pen swatches in particular would be as helpful as possible 😄💜
@kristen5019 Жыл бұрын
I have started a “pigment file”, categorized approximately by the Munsell System, but using the easily acquired Ives Color Wheel (24 hues) that many quilters use. So that would mean 24 pages for a pigment file.
@kristen5019 Жыл бұрын
Also I have them by value and by chroma. So you would want one page or one spread for each hue.
@kristen5019 Жыл бұрын
Value is the Y axis and Chroma is the X axis. The project is very big but I really developed a much better eye and I really learned my entire collection. I also now can see the gaps in my collection. I can find multiple hues with similar values rapidly. Or maybe if o want all the same chroma, I can quickly find them across multiple hues.

Hey, I love your ideas. How did you decide how many pages each collection should have and where to place them or rather order? I am about to start mine and I am having the hardest time just deciding on type of note book, order, and layout design. I used your identifier to decide what should go in the collections journal but I am having a hoarders mentality when I comes to using one of my Archer and Olives or some other notebooks. Paralysis by analysis is my issue I guess.
