I bought this 3 weeks ago on Amazon for $599. Found that you can adjust the screen timeout via the app. I've connected this to my power panel generator inlet box with interlock and tested a few circuits and it worked great.

Excellent review. I watched this review and decided to purchase the 757. I really like it. I have noticed higher self discharge on my Anker 757 than my Anker 535. Please can you confirm the level of self discharge you are seeing when the unit is left unused for 1 week / 1 month. I have all outlets off and power saving mode on. Storing it at about 20C. The only explainable difference I can see is the 51V battery setup in the 757 vs 16v battery setup in the 535. I might try fully discharging and recharging to see if that helps. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide as a comparison. Keep up the good work, great channel.

I have noticed a slight drop in the reported charge level if the battery is left for a few days without being used on the 757. That is, if I press the display button, I might see it drop 1% every few days. I did let it sit for a week off charge at 100%, and it continued to report 100% no matter how many times I pressed the display button. I charge it primarily over solar, and I've noticed it jump from ~70% -> 100% at times. At this point, I attribute that to the BMS not being that super accurate or perhaps it is erring on the side of underreporting SoC, and not a higher self-discharge. Perhaps I'll do testing on it at some point. Thanks for watching!

I have been using the Anker 757 Power House for approximately 1 month and using 1- 200 W Grecell solar panel, max load V: 19.8V, max load current: 10.1A. It charges great! I am told I should only use 100 w panels in parallel not to exceed 300w. Is this a problem?

I'm a big fan and user of Anker products. The only benefit for me for this large battery bank vs my GoSun 1100 is that it's LifePO4 and it charges to 80% in 1 to 1.5 hours. Otherwise,.it's twice the size of my GoSun 1100 and only 100 wh more in capacity. The Anker has more ports but I wish their smaller versions had all the features of this one. I use my GoSun 1100 in our tent for 3 to 5 day race weekends for my kids' motocross races. My car is a plug in hybrid with 2 x 1500 watt outlets, so I have an extension cord going into the tent to keep the Go Sun topped up on the second day while the GoSun is connected to our fridge. I have my 100 watt solar panel connected to another battery further down from our main tent. So charging up quickly could really cut down many hours throughout the day and shifting my power cable to other parts of our camp.

When charging from a standard wall outlet does it require sufficient power to utilize the HyperFlash technology, or can this be also charged from 120v power source with less amps (i.e. a really small generator, a 750w inverter on a deep cycle battery, etc)? I understand I could use the 12v DC input to charge it from the deep cycle, but what I'm asking is whether the 120v standard wall outlet REQUIRES 12A to operate, or whether it can run on far less (i.e. 120v at 2 amps such as a 120v inverter outlet found in many vehicles today). You mentioned that if you plug this into a circuit with other devices it'd likely overload and blow the breaker, so I imagine it requires the full HyperFlash amperage.
@TheCuriousEngineerChannel
@TheCuriousEngineerChannel 2 жыл бұрын
It will only charge at 1000W. As soon as I tried to charge it off a 500 Watt Pure-Sine Wave inverter it overloaded and shutdown. So, its a no go on most integrated vehicle power inverters. But in the car you can use the 12V @ 10A car charger. Which, yes, it’s slower, but it will still charge. Great question and thanks for watching!

Can this 757 be charged with solar or 24vdc 10A while being used to dramatically extend its run time? I assume that this device limits the charge current draw to what it wants vs needing the battery or solar array to do so?
@maartenvt
@maartenvt Жыл бұрын
the consumer power is fixed. It just asks that and the battery delivers. There will be a shut down if it exceeds the battery capacity. The solar module just charges the battery and if the power of the consumer is over 240W, it wil discharge the battery. If the consumption power is under 240W, and the solar module gives full power, the battery is charged while you discharge with the consumer. I'm not taking the efficiency losses in account. so it's theoretically to give you an idea. So the solar power is definitely giving you extra Wh that extends the run time.

Have you looked at how clean the power output is for the inverter with an oscilloscope? I've seen a couple reviews that indicated the power delivered may cause some problems with certain devices such as pumps and transformers... Along with some light flickering on some models.
@analytic85
@analytic85 Жыл бұрын
I bought this device, but some issues are making me feel like I have a defective unit. I noticed whenever I charged it to 100%, it seems to drop Way too fast for something that has no load. Yes, everything was turned off. Is there a certain threshold, before it starts to show you power draw on the display screen? I noticed on the powerhouse 800 I can see something drawing 12 watts etc. on the 757, I had to get to almost 20 watts before it would even show anything, and the time remaining doesn’t seem to be accurate either. The powerhouse 800 was showing more time remaining, then the 757. The power house 800 is 500 watts max around 700wh for comparison.
@TheCuriousEngineerChannel
@TheCuriousEngineerChannel Жыл бұрын
Right, the 757 does not show its quiescent (internal) power draw on the screen, unlike the other PowerHouse's you mention. The AC inverter uses around 25-35 watts, and the DC-DC conversions use around 1-5 watts (depending on what is being used). I don't feel it's "defective", because as I've mentioned in the video, the percentage does seem to jump down in large steps sometimes. I've experienced similar, but less pronounced behavior on the other PowerHouses that I have. Also it is important to take into account the power factor the load that is being run from it. I'll be discussing this more in a future video. Thanks for watching!

Do a long long review after the warranty expires. To quote customer service “We currently do not have a repair service for Anker Power Station. But we do offer an exchange when an item is defective within the warranty.” Are you willing to risk that much money for a product that could be impossible or extremely difficult to repair. Time for all these reviewer’s to put the multi meters away and take a big picture look at buying any of these units. I’d take a half assed unit I could get repaired over time.
