Great review... so much so I bought a 2022 without riding one. Every granular aspect covered in this review I've found to be true. I did go with the H15, for two reasons. 1. price point & 2. Suspension. I did switch rubber to a 2.6 dhf WT 3c exo and 2.5 Agressor WT exo. Our backyard in Truckee is alot like the Reno peavine test area in this vid, with a plethora of volcanic rocks. This tire combo set up tubless works amazing. I'm coming off a Hightower which I love, until now... this chassis is spot on for aggressive trail riding. I could not be happier. Quick background on me. age 61 been on mtbs since 1981, I'm an average climber and above average descender. The Rise offers a uphill flow opportunity without being constantly in the Red. Life is too short to be on sub par recreational equipment! Anyone thinking about a Rise... I'd say go for it! Well done again and thank you!

Key phrase was power-to-weight ratio, the Orbea Rise is prefect example of what manufacture can product. In the future manufacture will allow customers to order how much Nm power and battery size, which will allow a customer to customize the weight of the eMTB. Some riders want a 40lbs eMTB and others will want 50lbs eMTB. My eMTB is 54lbs and I have no issues with the weight, I am just getting more of a upper body work out:)

I bought an Orbea Rise M10 with the Vault hub. After 8mths and limited rides I was getting a loud pinging noise from the rear hub. On inspection I found that the teeth on the Vault hub were rounded along with the pawls. Clearly the hub is not fit for purpose on an ebike and I do not understand why Orbea are fitting standard mtb components on ebikes!!! The loads incurred on an ebike rear hub are massive compared to that of a conventional bike. So at considerable expense (£450) I have changed out my rear hub to DT Swiss who actually make ebike compatible hubs.

Is there a preferred way to either message you directly about questions or concerns about this bike? I have been a rider for a few years now and i've been wanting to get into ebike. But I am dumb when it comes to these and was wondering if you could help me out with questions, concerns or if you know of a good bike to fit my needs, as I have physical issues and etc.. one of the specialized bikes you were comparing to I was looking at in the shops and they weren't very informative about it. But, I was looking at the 8k version not 13k. Because my budget is pretty bleak haha. And I think you said this is a 29er, I ride 27.5 is it an option to go 27.5? Or is it better to go 29er and how much different in feel would it be to go from 27.5 to 29? If it helps i'm on a rocky mountain thunderbolt I think i'm 140 front 130 rear it's a trail/enduro and I want to get an equivalent ebike to what mine is or upgrade. My biggest concern is how much power I can get to help with climbing (my weakness) so I'd like more than less.. but I don't understand the finer details of battery and output. But, I would get the range extender for sure maybe not at first. But, i'm also afraid of losing my nimbleness I currently have.. but if there's a better way to discuss all my questions as this is just a few things please let me know
