I have a 20*F Bandit. I have the neck baffle, and it’s nice. They also come with a zipper instead of snaps at the bottom now, and waffle clips instead of the toggles on the pad straps. I also added their Dynamic Tension Control, which probably wasn’t an option when you got yours. It’s shock cord along the edges from the neck to the knees that allows you to draw the back opening closed if it’s really cold. I’ve had it for a year, and have been really toasty down to 30*F. In fact, I would probably go with a 30* quilt if I had to start over. There just aren’t that many nights below that where I live.

They didn't have those options available, no.. But I'll definitely be adding those to a future winter quilt

Enjoying my Bandit quilt as I am watching this video hanging in my hammock. Also have an EE quilt but prefer my Bandit so much more.

Looks exactly like mine! I do have the collar which is excellent for the zero degree (-17 C). Toasty.

I have a 20° bandit I haven't been able to use yet. I will be getting my money out of it starting soon though. It's white on the outside and blue on the inside.

Great review Matty! i'm waffling between 800 vs 850 fill and a 20 or 30 degree UGQ quilt. Weight isn't an issue and I do my camping in a tent in the summer or early fall in the PNW. What would you recommend?

If your overnight temps are possibly getting below freezing, the 20 degree quilt would be my choice. As for the fill power, it totally depends on what you feel like spending for money. If you've got the cash, and want so save a couple oz, the 850 will be a bit lighter.

@@MattyOutdoors Thanks for your reply! I'm leaning towards the 20 degree 800 fill now:)

Thanks, Matty Have you ever thought of getting a synthetic quilt to avoid the problems of down getting damp? It is something I'm looking into but still undecided :) And would you please explain a little more as to why you'd go for a sewn in foot box next time? Rgds Imran

I'd go sewn footbox just because I don't use the open style enough, i rarely open it up. I avoid synthetic due to weight and less compression.
