Max Yasgur was the only one who had the BALLS to man up in 69. The greatest concert that will ever be. This song is perfect to pay homage to this once in a lifetime event RIP Max, you Da Man!

I️ recently just found this video, my family from my fathers side has land about a mile from where true stage was, they’ve owned it since the early 30s when they came here from Italy. The orange bulldozer in the beginning of the video is my great grandpa rays that thy used to plow the land, and the green little Oliver tractor is part of the mitchell family. My father used to drive that when he worked on their farm growing up in the mid to late 70s.

Beautiful area, been there, will return soon. There remains a big Y on one of the barns of Max Yasgur's farm. Totally love this area

Very cool info! My Hubby and I revisited the site of the concert a couple of years ago. He found the general area where he sat. Our laugh is that someday, an archeologist will find his leather sandle in the creek where it became stuck in the mud! LOL!

I dearly love this song, and I agree they were way ahead of their time, 56 here, and most of the "old Hippies" just ahead of me, didn't really turn out that well.

Thanks to Max Yasgur who made possible to allow the greatest line up of bands to perform in the history of this Planet. They can never be another. Woodstock showed what freedom is all about, Peace, Love and Music. All of mankind will be eternally indebted to you and to which I offer much thanks. RIP.

I'm So Proud of my parents generation! My parents (the baby boomers) started this whole new way of free-thinking (and mind-expanding) where we think of ourselves as just a part of the human race (instead of simply being one nationality and/or religion verses another nationality and/or religion)! As a result of the seeds of thinking and philosophizing that they have planted, we will continue to broaden and expand our way of thinking!

perfect song with fabulous scenery from Woodstock but even more important (to me) scenes from upstate New York, how it all looked when I was a child, from the rolling hills, the lake, the horses, to the lady in her kitchen dress apron pulling weeds from her garden, all of it as familiar to me as the oxygen we breathe..

Many days, I wish the beatles stayed together until present, but every time I see this documentary, I remember something: history was written a way you shouldn't mess with. Because of Woodstock, many bands such as the Who rose to major popularity. If the beatles accepted woodstock's invitation, they would most likely continue to dominate the music world for years to come. Now I know, their music is still relevant today, but just imagine. Queen would probably not catch on as well because of the beatles most likely experimenting their own songs. If the beatles performed at live aid, none of the others would matter as much.

It would have worked if my generation hadn't of been brainwashed and gave up on the dream. As an aging Hippie, i am ashamed of many in my generation. If society would wake up and get their priorities straight, we can get out of this apathetic, selfish, yuppie mentality. I became an activists again after they murdered John Lennon and will continue until i pass away. Love N Peace is still the Ultimate Revolution.

Reading, I think it was late '70s, that Jerry Rubin had become a stockbroker or something really took a lot of the air out of things for me. I still believe, but it's a long fight.

Randy R Yep, you may not like what I'm about to say. Anyway, it's not just your generation, at least you guys gave a good fight to the Zionist who are ruining this world. And there in lies the problem. The Zionist have full control of our Gov an have corrupted them an made them a war machine who fights all of Israel's battles an any other war of importance. While they steal more an more rights from Americans as wages stay the same, taxes go up an our infrastructure is failing bad. And they use this Left an Right for citizens as a mere divide an conquer tactic. People think the have freedom of choice, freedom to choose a president, they don't. There a big reason why they put Trump in office an had his daughter marry Jared Kushner, so they could have a little Jew bird whisper to Trump on what to do. I would like to go off on so much more but it takes to long an it gets me very upset. Like i said, the reason things changed for the worst an this is not a derogative statement toward the hippie movement. But the reason the Zionist fucked our country up is because you guys gave such a good fight which pissed them off immensely an they made sure that people wouldn't do that no more. It's just that you guys went after the wrong enemy just like our fore father's an so on did with every empire that fell, and that's going after the Gov of those empire's. And that's because the Jew hides behind the veil like pussies. This time around we must go to the main source, and that's the Zioinst. We need more people to achieve our goal but people today are pussies. First thing we need to do is get rid of central banks an print our own money. Then pull out of the middle East where the Zioinst started an funded terrorist an let Israel fight their own battle's. And with the help with other countries, if they trusted us, take down Zionism once an for all.

Slimy Michael Lang has plans for a 50th Anniversary Festival? What's the point of that? No one wants to see 70-80 year old men with wheeled walker, wheelchairs, crutches respiratory equipment etc. on the stage.BTW Most of the artists of 1969 are either dead of won't certainly not come or participate(Roger Daltry recently made fun of the idea, CSNY are estranged etc. ) Neil Young today wrote an article in the german newspaper WELT and said the Woodstock vibe/feeling is "irrevocably dead"
