As for comedy, to each their own. Memes are there for a quick laugh, whilst satire is there not to be light-hearted and funny, like memes are. You must be more into political jokes, such as SNL, which I also enjoy. I myself am a happy medium. Sometimes, I like to look at memes, maybe I want to watch Captain Underpants, or maybe I'm feeling like some nice dark humor or satire for a laugh today. Everyone has a different sense of humor, mate...no need to look down on others because of which form of comedy they enjoy.
