Hey Danny, I love your presentation man and am really looking forward to watching (all of) this... frequent toilet breaks will be particularly handy for us older blokes! 🤣👍

Hey there! I'm tellin ya, I hate having to pee so often because nowadays its like 50% at a time or something.. but yeah, thanks for visiting my video, this SC 500 after receiving some work, plays very nicely. The bridge big E string had the screw hole drilled too high up, raising the saddle off the base and that was the cause of the buzzing. This is one that you need to do a review on, so low cost and looks so good!! ( from 5 feet away LOL )

You are so right about the marketing of American guitars. We have all been victims of it for the last 50 years or more. Guitar store owners will tell you that Gibsons and Fenders always sell faster than the import brands, and people are happy to hand over their money just to own that decal on the headstock. That's why I use the word "Victims". Marketing companies have brainwashed us all. Listen to Danny, people. Free your minds and buy good (cheap) guitars.

Love your Channel Danny! And you're right! Whatever comparison i see on YT Gibson vs Epiphone vs Harley Benton....to be honest i cannot hear a difference.

I got the same guitar about 3 years ago. It was a B-stock, but it came in amazing. It didn't need anything done. Plays great, sounds great. Used it on several recordings. My only issue, one and only. It weighs a ton! I finally hydrated the fretboard, polished the metal, and lube the nut. It looks great and sounds amazing. But, if I weigh like 2lbs less. It would be a dream guitar.

im thinking B stock may be customer returns… customers that had set it up previously and then wanted something else… 🤔… but about the weight, im thinking you can bore holes in the sides of the guitar, fill it with styrofoam plugs, then use wood filler to cap them, sand and paint…. hmmm homemade weight relief! sounds like a video in the making!!!

@@guitarhobbywithdannythemedic yeah, you could do that. I don't have those sets of skills. I did ask about getting a cavity made for one day putting in EMGs or something. It was going to cost $100. What weight did yours come in at?
@guitarhobbywithdannythemedic2 жыл бұрын
pickup cavity is something u can totally do yourself with some wood chisels because the edge is usually hidden by the rings so you dont even have to be all perfect and stuff. drilling the hole for the wire would be iffy sometimes depending..... I did not weigh the guitar because it did not feel unusal. felt alike any other single cut L P style I have.. I usually weight things that felt out of the ordinary.. so I am guessing 8 lbs?

@@guitarhobbywithdannythemedic mine is a few years older, and it weighs about 9.8lbs. It's a hoss.

my GAWD your thigh must have a dent... lol... I would have no idea how to remove 1.5 pounds of wood from the thing..... like, you cant take it from the neck or headstock areas... and the body already have the existing cavities... wow.... hey, u know they did say somewhere that the more mass the better the tone and sustain and stuff....

Very nice fine tuning a guitar video. Who needs a Gibson when you got a Danny Benton.

A pair of jeans is a pair of jeans if equally made. Levi etc. are a brand. Gibson is a brand who play (no pun intended) on their name.

I like your presentation. You're dedication with the toilet made me smile. I've bought a SC500 WH and 2 x HB35+. Have you done any vids on the HB35+?

Funny that you are a target customer for Gibson and you are on your way to show how stupid that idea is; I mean selling really overpriced guitars to a guy that understands how important is to make real questions.
