I'm only 150 pages in and already I've been open to a world as crazy and as beautiful as a memorable dance between nightmare and dream.

The one time Moore's audio is good, there's a cougher. Ah well-a poet speaks, a genuine poet of a prophet. A few hear.

A Northampton legend, when's the town gonna acknowledge the fact and honour Mr Moore?

I found this just as I was about to read the chapter. It was a privilege to listen to the author read this amazing chapter.

It's even better when you read it in context. The builders/demolition metaphor and the conclusions he arrives at are galvanisingly perfect.

I can just imagine how he had his children enthralled when he told them a bed time story. I bet they BEGGED for daddy to tell them stories and it must have been wonderful.

This is the Best Alan writing to date. He has planted seeds in us, so we may grow and understand. As much as I enjoy his early work, His Best comics are from Abc/Loeg on. Alan Moore is one of few Writers to illuminate the exterior/interior of our Lives, I will read Jerusalem asap.

On the evidence of this, Jerusalem will probably surpass Voice of the Fire and be one of the best things he's ever written. Just phenominally well written. Chills up ma spine.

I’m on chapter 7 of Mansoul right now. Just finished reading mental fights. I’m just about 600 pages in. Can’t wait until I finish these parts and get to read along with Alan's voice for this chapter!! I believe it’s the first chapter of book three - Vernall's Inquest that he is reading here. I’ll check back in when I get there! Thanks for posting this

Such a rare treat to have the performance of the words by the author himself. Just wish this reading could have been held elsewhere other than the tuberculosis ward

I just finished this chapter. It's clever metaprose fiction. A nice overview on all that has occurred so far and it fills in a lot of gaps. Thus sort of chapter is missing from some of Douglas Adams' work, would have lended much needed clarity at times. But the arch angel Michael mirrors the omnipotence and impotency of Dr Manhatten in Watchmen

I can't wait till it comes out. I had asked Chris Staros the head of Top Shelf Comics at The Austin Small Press Expo if he thought Mr Moore would be publishing Jerusalem through Top Shelf in the States since they have been publishing his current run on TLOEG and were publishing Dodgem Logic and keeping From Hell in print in America. He seemed hopeful that would be the case, although I couldn't get a definate answer from him on if it would be a Top Shelf project or not.

WHAT?? That book is too long for an audiobook. Its literally longer than the Bible xDxD I mean, it could be done, but definetly not by Alan Moore (or by a single reader, if you ask me).

I figured I'd given it a solid chance, but had to stop with about 15 percent of reading left. I just could not torture myself anymore. Endless descriptions of thoughts and environments seemingly leading nowhere, relentless attempts at teaching some new-age afterlife rubbish philosophy. In other words, there is so much a reader can take, enough is enough. I don't want to know how it ends...
