Yeshua(Jesus) the Christ loves you! Praise YHWH El Shaddai and may He bless you! Christ is the King of kings and Lord of lords! (YHWH - the LORD) (El Shaddai - God Almighty) To those who haven’t; Repent of your sins and believe on the Adon Jesus the Christ, believe in your heart that He has died for your sins and rose from the tomb on the third day and you shall receive the Holy Spirit of God and He shall dwell within you. You shall be saved. Be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! - Jesus the Christ loves you, praise YHWH our Elohim - Evidence for Jesus Christ’s existence, crucifixion, and disappearance from the tomb (He rose from it): The Lord Jesus Christ did exist, gathered disciples, and was crucified and went missing from the tomb. To argue about wether He was taken from the grave or rose from it, is an argument a skeptic can make. Because well if you disregard the eye witness testimony of the disciples and there willingness to die for Christ, and humans won’t die for something they know is a lie, when Peter is pinned upside down to that cross, he could have said that it was a fake, but He didn’t because it wasn’t, what care would he have about death in this world if he knew for a fact he had assurance of a life in another, Jesus Christ did rise from the tomb and is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Now the evidence for the Lord Jesus Christ’s existence really isn’t hard to find a multitude of non-Christian scholars and historians mention Him within 150 years after the time of His life. One such is Tacitus a Roman historian who reported on emperor nero’s decision to blame the Christians for the fire that had destroyed rome in 64 AD. Tacitus wrote: “Nero fastened the guilt ... on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of ... Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judaea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome…” In this Tacitus makes reference to not only Christians, but Christ calling Him Christus and confirming the Gospels going on to say that He suffered the extreme penalty (crucifixion) under the reign of Tiberius and by the sentence of Pontius Pilate, which like I said confirms the Gospels narrative. Another important source of evidence about Jesus and early Christianity can be found in the letters of Pliny the Younger to Emperor Trajan. Pliny was the Roman governor of Bithynia in Asia Minor. In one of his letters, dated around A.D. 112, he asks Trajan's advice about the appropriate way to conduct legal proceedings against those accused of being Christians. Pliny says that he needed to consult the emperor about this issue because a great multitude of every age, class, and sex stood accused of Christianity. At one point in his letter, Pliny relates some of the information he has learned about these Christians: “They were in the habit of meeting on a certain fixed day before it was light, when they sang in alternate verses a hymn to Christ, as to a god, and bound themselves by a solemn oath, not to any wicked deeds, but never to commit any fraud, theft or adultery, never to falsify their word, nor deny a trust when they should be called upon to deliver it up; after which it was their custom to separate, and then reassemble to partake of food - but food of an ordinary and innocent kind.” This passage provides a number of interesting insights into the beliefs and practices of early Christians. First, we see that Christians regularly met on a certain fixed day for worship. Second, their worship was directed to Christ, demonstrating that they firmly believed in His divinity. Furthermore, one scholar interprets Pliny's statement that hymns were sung to Christ, "as to a god", as a reference to the rather distinctive fact that, "unlike other gods who were worshipped, Christ was a person who had lived on earth." If this interpretation is correct, Pliny understood that Christians were worshipping an actual historical person as God! Of course, this agrees perfectly with the New Testament doctrine that Jesus was both God and man. You may have heard of the scholar Flavius Josephus who mentioned James as being the brother of the Lord Jesus Christ, which matches what Paul said calling James “The Lord’s brother” and there is another document that Josephus may have written which goes: “About this time there lived Jesus, a wise man, if indeed one ought to call him a man. For he ... wrought surprising feats.... He was the Christ. When Pilate ...condemned him to be crucified, those who had . . . come to love him did not give up their affection for him. On the third day he appeared ... restored to life.... And the tribe of Christians ... has ... not disappeared.” Now it’s up to debate wether this is the entirely original document of what Josephus wrote, or if a Christian had edited it. But regardless he wrote about the Lord Jesus Christ. Wether it was negative or positive like the possible document is. Anyways there are many other statements, documents, letters, and writings of all sorts from the ancient world talking about the Lord Jesus Christ and there is not one question if He was a real person or if He was crucified and went missing from the grave. That is clear as day, He is a real person, was crucified, and went missing from the grave. And He did rise from the grave. And for more evidence of the Lord Jesus Christ, there’s the Bible and you see there is no evidence the Bible is corrupted, a lie, created by the Roman government, folktale. It is the recount of the Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, now wether you want to believe it is up to you. And what profit was there in spreading Christianity, All the early Christian suffered persecution, beatings, and were killed. Another Scholar reported that James the Lord’s Brother was thrown off a building and then stoned to death for spreading the Gospel in Jerusalem. These people went to great lengths even giving their own lives for the Adon Jesus the Christ.

Recently met up with an old friend who is potentially pushing 400 lbs and has absolutely no idea. I parked my car and got out, she in the passenger seat shifted and *moved the fucking car.* She immediately assumed I forgot to put the car in park and just got out of a car that was still running ... she might have no idea how big she is. We went to the desert and she kept complaining how unbearably hot it was at 78° and couldn't understand why I was fine. I asked her if she really wanted to know, and explained she weighs more than 3 of me. Then I was a bitch for the rest of the day. Some of these people I truly believe they have no idea how big they are.

OR my favorite, “eat everything on your plate since there’s starving kids out there”. NOPE. not anymore. one of the best decisions I’ve ever made was to start eating when I am hungry, and stop eating when I am no longer hungry. not full, just no longer hungry. there is so much more power in saying it’s not okay where I’m at, and to work towards where you want to be. 200lbs for a 5 ft 6 in woman is NOT healthy. I used to run track. When COVID hit, I stopped running and I ended up getting way out of shape. I gained over 50 pounds. I was nowhere near these 600lb life type people, but I was also so far from my prime that I felt like one of those 600lb life people anyway. Eventually I got tired of not liking what I was seeing in the mirror, knowing that when people saw me in public they definitely weren't attracted to me, etc., and I started working out again. In a few months I lost the vast majority of the weight I gained. I feel way better physically and mentally. To anyone who's struggling with their weight, please don't fall into the trap of telling yourself you're fine and everyone else is the issue for not accepting you. You are not okay. Good news is, if you're capable of moving, you've pretty much got all the tools you need to fix things. Dedicate yourself to reaching your goal and I promise you'll make it there. Accept the discomfort that comes with it. You might feel like things are much harder for you because of your weight, but being overweight and working out to lose weight was actually far easier for me than being in my best shape ever and running track. You're going to have to struggle, but I promise you there's no part of the journey an ordinary person can't get through if they want to make it through. Believe in yourself and trust the process.

You kinda make it sound super easy. Its not super hard, but its not super easy either. it was easier for you because you've likely been in shape all/most of your life. your foundation is solid. your lungs, heart, etc are strong and healthy, just putting on 50lbs isn't gonna do much damage, if any at all in a short time. a morbidly obese person, especially one who has been big for most if not all of their life, is an entirely different story. even more so if they are hundreds of pounds over weight. Other than that, great post, very encouraging!

I never understood fat shaming. As someone who was overweight myself, I found it to be a great motivator whenever people mentioned I gained weight or called me fat to actually do activities that helped me lose weight (stop eating fast food, go to the gym, counting calories). People that are sensitive about these issues are usually people not willing to put in the work to actually lead a healthier lifestyle or someone who has never been overweight themselves. Overcome your weaknesses and change your mentality!

Yeah, “fat shaming” went from “it’s not right to be mean to someone for being fat” to “don’t tell people they’re fat for being fat, it’s offensive, etc” It should stick to what it was initially about because people would get bullied and treated terribly due to being fat. Now, it’s just encouraging it’s OKAY to be fat when it’s not healthy, and if anyone says anything like “you should eat better and exercise” it’s insulting. That doesn’t make any sense.

I was obese as a kid and didn't do anything to address the problem until I was given a reality check in middle school by a bunch of other kids. Some people might call it bullying, but it was exactly what I needed to get my shit together and take the initiative to care for my health. I got to rub it in their faces that I had a massive glow up. I got to finally experience true self love and self respect, and I built healthy foundations for the rest of my life. It was a triple win and I'll forever be thankful to all my judgemental, angsty adolescent peers for putting fire under my ass to take control back over my health and my life.

Though I’m glad that you were able to change your life for the better; Not everyone reacts to that kind of feedback the same way though, so it’s not a good thing to encourage people treating overweight/obese people in the way those people treated you. In fact, I’d go as far to say as your type of reaction is in the minority. If all obese kids in school reacted to bullying the way that you did, believe me when I say there would be no obese kids in existence, because I guarantee you 99.999% of obese kids are getting treated that way on the regular. The overeating of comfort foods, (which is what usually causes obesity in children) often happens because of psychological issues like stress, trauma, depression, etc. Issues that make the person feel depressed, worthless, etc. Guess what happens when that person is degraded, bullied, etc by their peers? It just adds to what they’re already feeling. They eat more, and stay fat or get even fatter. Only a tiny percentage of people are able to use that feeling as motivation to make a real change. Don’t get me wrong, I’m against what the “body positivity” movement has become and think “fat positivity” is abhorrent…but calling obese people by the names of animals…or otherwise treating them as not worthy of human decency 9 times out of 10 does NOTHING but make the person hurling out the insults get an ego boost. You don’t know what people are going through, so it’s never ok to treat people like that regardless of what they look like. But at the same time, this whole “positivity” movement has gone way too far and instead of asking to be treated like flawed human beings like everyone deserves….they instead have gone to the point of saying that people have to find obese people beautiful, that obese people can be healthy, or that it’s ok to be “ok” with being obese without actively trying to make a change. That is also unacceptable and a toxic mindset, imo.

Weight is about so much more than just the body though. Being in at least reasonable shape and a healthy BMI shows responsibility, self respect and dedication. It is incredibly easy to let yourself go and only takes a few extra tasty snacks here and there and sitting on your ass for longer and the weight can pile on . Staying in shape (especially after a certain age) is worthy of respect. Things that take more work are automatically more admirable than the easy road.
