The waves im surfing are steep and powerful. I cant catch them before just about to break so no time to pause. A video on how to catch waves early would be great!!

@@retribution999 I too have surfed steep and powerful shore break waves in Portugal. These waves are often better suited for a shortbroard. However, being a longboarder that isn’t all that experienced in those conditions, I still managed to catch waves by understanding wave direction and angling my takeoff. I have a couple vids in here about that too. One of my recent vids called Angled takeoff…. Or an older vid from a couple years back called takeoff beginners and novices. I appreciate your suggestion, the takeoff is an important topic. Hope you find these helpful and thanks for the stoke🤙🤙
