Longboarding- Sushi Roll

JBen ventures to CA in the summer of 2011 to grace our presence. We set out to find some fun locations around CA and capture his dancing, free-style in action. JBen has got a cool unique style and was fun to work with. He did end up busting his knee in the Baldy tunnel and skated with a bummed knee for about half the video. JBen is also the one that created the really sweet intro animation to the video.

I've honestly found that the 83a stims are the hardest wheel to get sliding I've ever tried. Harder wheels don't neccessarly mean easier slides. I found once I switched to abec 11 78a flashbacks my stand up slides really came together. Also my biggest challenge with my dervish was a lack of concave, there isn't really much there to keep you on the board in a slide, especially with stock grip. I sanded off the clear stuff and laid some black vicious foot pads down, now it is way better.
