Great Video ! Most people need to do the K.I.S.S. method Keep It Simple Stupid ! Going in to my 51st yr. of shooting & hunting with Traditional bows . Mentored a lot people in shooting a bow for the first time from a 5 yr old to a 87 yr old and the Smile on their Face , when they hit the target is Priceless ! Stay Safe & Healthy ! God Bless !

Great video, Tim. I know I have gone way way down the rabbit hole like any of us that have been at this for any period of time. Chased perfection and top notch accuracy all that... but I have come full circle back to SIMPLE!

Too many guys get caught up in trying to get the "best" of everything. Best bow, best arrows, best point weight, best kind of broadhead, best hunting weight, best knife, etc. It's enough to make you sick. There is no "best" of anything, only different or what is your favorite, and you can't learn that from the internet. Instead of trying to get the best of everything, select something you can afford at a weight you can shoot well and get it tuned with decent weight arrows and just go and shoot. Get to know your bow well and how it shoots so you can tell the instant something is wrong. All you need to kill a deer is a sharp head on a well tuned arrow shot through the vitals, that's it. Doesn't matter what brand anything is or what materials it uses or anything else. Dont sweat the fussy details about FOC and how much weight I have up front or should I shoot 3 or 4 inch feathers etc. Just put something together, get it tuned and learn to shoot. Learn good form and work up from there.

Love your information videos! Keep it up. Too many times I see guys buying all kinds of things they don’t need. They shoot a different bow every week and wonder why they don’t shoot well. Go figure!

I used to shoot compound years ago and got out of archery entirely because of frustration with equipment failure. Now I'm 58 and really desire to enter traditional archery. I'm looking forward to the journey.

awesome vid. I really have to follow the advice on stop chasing. I get that with knock height. You chase one thing that might not be the issue. Better release is what I need. I am now about to go against my own advice. End of next month we start our 3d season ,my wife and are enthusiasts not super competitive, we'll shoot 6 or seven shoots this year, only one considered local. Anyway, I am waiting on new shafts which means I'll be changing most of my set up only a week or so before the first shoot . Arrow tuning is the easy part but I find a new set of arrows always requires a knock adjustment. that and I'll be making a new feather rest which will change it. But ya, I'll have to go back to stop chasing the result because you normally chase the wrong thing.

Beware the person who shoots the same equipment always, they probably know what works well for them and will be hard to beat. When you staart messing around too much, you begin to second guess yourself and then you have some real problems.
