I grew up just off Longbridge Lane, Leycester Close, off Nuthurst Road and my old man worked at the Austin in the 70's so I've really enjoyed watching the old footage, cheers for this.

My Dad once worked on that site. It’s sad to see that it’s just an empty desolated piece of land waiting to be developed now. I guess life and time moves on. It waits for non of us.

I would actually say there is overdevelopment in this area, to a degree of unsustainability. That whole site of land to the right of the MG site will see a further amount of housing in the region of 700 homes by St Modwens. Services in this area won't be increased to accommodate.

@@dontwantyourpoison7753 Some of the area formerly owned by Rover had to be left for a while due to toxic chemicals on that plant that affected the land. They can’t build on it until it’s gone.

We should be saving the planet not building more houses. Let nature do its course. We need trees, flowers and grass to breath. As they say look, listen, learn.
