I have the LONGER RAY5 20w, I know that it is designed to go up to 10000mm/minute, but I have a problem, I have the impression that between 6000 and 10000, I don't see any difference of speed. Is there an adjustment to be made? I should point out that I precisely compared to 6000 and 10000, the time is identical... THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP

Hi, thank you for your comment. The machines (in general not only longer) do adjust the execution speed based on the project, but the amount of data streamed and its mechanical and thermal limitations. For example, if you have some diether engraving with many points the buffer memory may get clustered, and the machine tries to cope with it by slowing down and reducing the power output, a similar can happen for long projects. Alternatively, if you are engraving thin details the machine needs to switch from accelerating, constant speed, slowing and reversal very rapidly, this can affect the resulting engraving negatively, therefore the engraver may decide again to slow down, in this particular example you can increase the over scanning length so that the laser has a longer distance to do the acceleration and reversal. I hope it helps.

Hi, thank you for your comment. You can cut the acrylic you are mentiining as long as it's not semitransparent. That is if the sheet is semitransarent with a foil on top, you will only be able to effect the surface. Make sure it is all mat and no light passes through. I hope it helps. Ciao

I've never used a laser engraver but I'm looking into it now because I've started making custom cutting boards, serving trays, charcuterie boards, cheese slicer boards, etc and I'd like to engrave my logo into each piece.. I just don't know what power machine I would need for that.. Is 5W enough since I won't be cutting anything? Or should I go ahead and get something like this 20W machine? I'd appreciate any input you can give me.. Thanks!!

Hi, thank you for your comment. A logo in your products will definitely make them stand out. You could get away with the 5W models, but you will be stacked to lower speeds. Dont know what your production volume is, and the type of logo, but a 10W in my opinion would be better while still retaining that tiny fine laser spot. 20W is instead a perfect power spot for both cutting and engraving as the spot is still relatively fine. Hello my friend I have this the exact same laser cut machine. I have a problem with my air pump it does not work properly. In fact when it is turned on it cuts much more messier.... What do I do wrong???

Hi, thank you for your comment. What do you mean by messier? Wavy, Smoked? I can't really give you a hint without a more accurate description of the "messier". Yet, few points to check: - Make sure that the compressor does not vibrate the machine while in operation. - Make sure that the compressor does not suck in smoke, otherwise it sends smoke. Hi, thank you for your comment. I guess you got a faulty product, this is something that can happen with any brand. I have used the 20W version from the video for months with hundreds of products and about 1000hr and had no problems with the laser module. I hope it helps. Ciao
