This legendary train might have become a passenger now!!! Much like the Vaigai, Pallavan, Kovai, Brindavan, CBE intercity and Lalbagh. ( People like me who have seen the best of these trains shudder to even see these in their current passenger avatar)!!.. But it has been one of the oldest trains in the region connecting the entire Malabar coast to konkan coast. Much like the other trains mentioned, this train was a rockstar in its heydays.

Well!!! The Angamaly Erumeli project was initiated in the late 90s, and if I am correct, few kms were constructed from Angamaly. For whatever reasons, the project was dumped sometime in 2010/11 probably. Recently, the Kerala government took initiatives to share the cost and i suppose the project has found life again
