Day 16 out of 2 MONTHS! We are attempting the LONGEST JOURNEY BY TOY CAR. We have to drive toy cars from Jacksonville FL to Key West. This will take two months of driving a toy car every single day! Hey guys! If you see a bunch of spelling errors in my videos..It's because I hired an editor to help me out. They are AMAZING but English is not their first language. Stop by the dollar tree and get lots of glow stick incase you're caught in the dark during the rain glow sticks make you more noticeable!!! You can buy a tube of 100 for $2 ♡♡♡ neon is more visible

Good luck on thw overseas highway (the stretch), You have to cross from homestead to key largo the stretch is very narrow bike lane very bumpy and has crazy drivers! Stay safe.

Also when you get new batteries--- tape plastic soda pop caps over the terms when you're traveling with them so they never touch anything! ♡♡♡♡♡

I would see if the DG or like stores would have tarps. You could cover with the tarp and then hold it down with the weather cover the car came with. That would give it more protection from the rain. Also you could probably jerryrig something to cover the bottoms of the cars with a tarp too to protect it. Also also, you could cut a hole for your body and use the tarp as a rain cover while you drive to protect things.

I think that now you guys have the hang of things your miles will start adding up more quickly. 40 miles is a real long drive and if you have to stop and start a ton because of rain and then being on the roads that late just seems dangerous. The chances of some else being on a back road in no state to drive is a lot higher when you’re out on the road in the middle of the night. Be safe we are so invested in your journey :)

So it's actually not just the hang of things..most places it's the sidewalks being bad..or ending..or crosswalks..our average pace when moving is only 2-3 miles an hour on an average day. Buttttt this 40 mile trip is only maybe doable because it's the middle of nowhere with almost no stops or crosswalks. Fingers crossed!

Rain is gonna be a problem. Two small tarps or one large, a rubber mallet, matching tent stakes, and coverage for yourself and you guys could make more ground on iffy days. All you need is a grassy or dirt surface to plant the stakes, if it is solid you will have to tuck which isn’t ideal. The stakes give you surface area for the water to move away for the vehicles. Flash flood level rain is a whole other story.

One of my favorite facts is % of rain is the percent of the area that will receive rain. Example if the area is 1 square mile and a 10% chance then 1/10 of the square mile will get rain. 😊

Get duck tape and a clear plastic sheet and make a raincoat for the cars that you can drive with. Wrap the whole car minus the tires and waterproof it the best you can and let it rip. They have to be somewhat water resistant they are an outside toy

You are probably going to have batteries by the time you read this But you should Have lauren used fifty percent of her first set of batteries. Then swap them out. So when your battery's go to 0. You still have her first set, so you won't need duct tape. Have a safe trip watching from New York.

Closest hotel from where they are is 26 miles no idea on if is available or the size of the elevator but that is a long way in a toy car definitely need 2 sets of batteries may need a recharge as well

it really depends on weather and stuff..like it varies so much..this one would be 64 kilometers but normally we only go maybe 1/4-1/3 of that because usually there is way more stop lights and obstacles then this route will have in the middle of nowhere. The terrain being easier is the only reason this might be possible.

I would not stop so frequently. If the car can go 10 mph then you can cover 10 miles per hour. You stop way too frequently.
