Day 30 out of 2 MONTHS! We are attempting the LONGEST JOURNEY BY TOY CAR. We have to drive toy cars from Jacksonville FL to Key West. This will take two months of driving a toy car every single day! Heyy guys!! You might have seen the comments that I posted on Instagram that I was still on the road tonight! I just got to my hotel!! It was a wild day!! I recommend investing in electrical tape. Just works best with wires. I cant fully explain it, but the type of tape may help 4:36

Great cars especially given the fact that they have carried 2 adults well over 300 miles, and counting. You are both very brave and exceptional woman with big hearts. I tip my hat to you both. In the end, win lose, or draw this is a victory. I think it woud also be great if you auctioned or raffled the cars off as one last trip fund raiser for animals. I work with equipment that has molex connectors like in your cars. Sometimes the wires actually start to come out of the connector. There is a tab that holds it in the connector. Sometimes just unplugging them will seat the wire back in properly or if you push on the wire from the back when no connected it will seat back in. Sounds like you hopefully got it back together. I also have a suggestion that if you are stopping for a day its a good idea to charge batteries if they are very dead as it is not good for them to be without a charge for long periods of time. Hopefully you guys have less problems. Good luck.

I've been watching since day one. Hope the two of you make it! Was wondering if you tried to look at the inside of the plug to see if maybe the metal part of the connector is making good contact with the other side of the plug? Those types of connectors are not the best and most reliable. Next time you pass an automotive store I would pick up some electric cleaner spray. Could help you if the peddle stops working. Thats not a bad idea. The first time they broke down I looked up the manual and I think the hood was available. Not everything was but removable/movable parts were. I didn't see the bearings they need or drive train components but tires, mirrors steering wheel..

For your stickers use Acyrlic spray it will stay on better and last longer than the nail polish. That is what I use before putting stickers that I make on anything. Good Luck on your journey!

I had a similar issue with the turn signal on my truck. The clip on the connector broke, so I used a zip tie. If you need to disconnect the connecter regularly, they made a reusable zip tie that you can undo.

could be a short in one of the wires. turn car on, hold throttle down and move wires. when the devices kicks back on, thats the wire with the issues, tape it while the car tires are spinning. will have to turn on side or prop up so tires can freely spin while investigating. trace wires from pedal and start there.

I think you are in the clear. They are still bleeping out guinness world records and they announced that on the 10th that Guinness world records asked for $16,000 out of the blue so they are now continuing on without aiming for a Guinness record. So, they are running at least 5 days in the future. Most likely closer to 7 days in the future but hard to tell since no actual dates have been given.

Honestly you need to stop at any big box store or hardware store or automotive repair store and pick up a ratchet strap. If you are unfamiliar on how they work most of the employees should be able to show you. They wrap up nice and small and their load capacity is huge compared to their size. Plus they have a multitude of uses.
