I think it was a blessing that the world record didn't work out this journey!! You were able to troubleshoot and problem solve so much more effectively without worrying about rules and guidelines! This way you'll nail the record next time!🎉

The "old" 7-mile bridge had parts destroyed by a hurricane in 1935. Then it was reconstructed but sadly another hurricane in 1960 destroyed most of it. Then they built the "current" 7-mile bridge in 1970s and 1980s. BTW, many think the "old" 7-mile bridge was destroyed for the 1994 movie, TRUE LIES, but it wasn't. A 80-foot model was used.

The one positive out this no longer being for the record is that you are able to kind of plan ahead for break downs on the next attempt by having spare parts or maintenance parts waiting some where, like a PO Box or something. I've also been following since the beginning of the attempt. I first saw your Tampa to Clearwater attempt on Tiktok. Then when I saw your record attempt, with the jeeps first, I came to KZbin for the full length videos instead of waiting for the Tiktok videos.

That other bridge was never going to be repaired. It has been defunct for decades. In fact, an action scene for the movie True Lies (1994) was filmed on that bridge.

The other bridge was not a pedestrian bridge. It actually was the bridge, but it was old so they built the one you went on. The missing piece was actually blown up for a movie back in the '90s. Also to help keep people from crossing it. Glad you girls made it safely. 🌹❤️🚙💜🚗❤️🌹. I started watching with the Jeep attempt the day after it was posted. Haven't missed a single day with the Rockets.

They said AGEEEEEEEESSSSS ago that if they wanted to do the record and fundraiser, they had to pay GWR >10,000$, which they don’t have! And they said this half way through, that’s why so many people are angry with GWR, so they are going to do another attempt early next year
