Inamorata is a masterpiece. I get what you’re saying about not being their targeted audience anymore - luckily, I am. I’d rather listen to Load or Reload (or 72 Seasons, for that matter) than Kill ‘Em All honestly. I prefer groove and structure more than just speed. Just my own opinion.

The Sabbath vibes in this song are fucking insane i love this shit man. James' solo after the interlude gives me goosebumps. He poured his heart out into these lyrics on the album and the riffs and especially this song. If Inamorata would be their last song ever I would die happy. Beautiful stuff.

Ok...after listening to this like 50 times now, I am FULLY of the opinion that this is the epic Bleeding Me/Outlaw Torn/Fixxxer/Turn The Page/Halo on Fire song of the album. That haunting melody and chorus that only Papa Het can write and deliver. And I truly hope that it gets played live!!!!

Totally. It has a strong, brooding , bad ass pace and vibe that has a dark mealoncholic heart. Again, as you said, its in the same moody laneway as Bleeding Me, Fixxxer, Halo on Fire. The breakdown in the middle is a bit like Led Zeppelins "No Quarter". The guitar duel that follows is a classy cross between My Friend of Misery and Thin Lizzy. 👍🤘

Hot take: Inamorata is my favorite Metallica song of all time. I love it when a song is catchy in a good way and also when it shows that it has emotion put into it. Inamorata does both perfectly, while also fitting my taste of that balance between heavy metal and rock. Top it off with amazing harmonies and James' crazy nice vocals in this album, and you've got a masterpiece of a song.

U know, bud, I've discovered your channel like few days ago, as I was looking for a content related to this new Metallica album (which I pretty much like overall). I'm interested in what people have to say about "72 Seasons" as a product & kinda double checking my own impressions & feelings on the matter. Gotta honestly say that I appreciate your approach to the whole thing, as you're not trying to make faces or overreact, you're not sh!tting on this album purposefully for no apparent reason for views & stuff, instead you provide your humble and honest point of view, no BS, respectfully rating everything you've liked & disliked in each song and the whole album overall - that's admirable, ngl. "6.7-7/10" is a fair rating to the new material, I'd give it an "8/10", but that's purely because of my own tastes in music. I think "72 Seasons" is a respectable release, not without its flaws (and let's be honest, just like you mentioned, we ain't gonna get the level of "peak 80s Metallica" anymore, stuff's not gonna be as crisp & polished - and fairly so, lads have been through tons of everything in 40 years & they're in their 60s now), but the vocals, grooves, leads, rhythms & harmonies are still pretty enjoyable - and this is all that's needed, tbh. TY for sharing your thoughts on the album, pal, subbed & looking forward to new content of yours 🤜🏻🤛🏻

I love that this album is soo reflective, it gives an "old man reflecting on life" vibe and it's awesome. This song is paying homage to their song My Friend of Misery from the Black Album. The solo has a very similar sound to Kirk’s solo from My Friend of Misery, but with a splash of the newer Metallica sound! This song is also heavily influenced by James’ recent divorce with his wife Francesca!

Inamorata has to be one of my favorites, probably Top Fifteen across the entire discography. I don’t know what it is, but there’s something about a nice, long Metallica song - your Ktulus, your Orions, Fixxxers, et cetera - that feels like shaking hands with an old friend. Definitely one to remember… …but not as the longest Metallica track. Gotta look to the forgotten lands of shadows (Lulu) for that one.

i look at this song as My Friend of Misery Part 2, almost like on the black album he is scrutinizing someone who is always miserable, complaining...and this one he's talking about his own relationship with misery, like misery is his mistress. The harmony section is similar to that of My Friend of Misery. I think it's cool.

I don't think this is as good as the Load era trilogy of pure emotion bangers (Bleeding Me, Outlaw, Fixxxer) but it's a worthy sequel and James really shines when the songs are something he truly *feels*. James is a better soloist than he gives himself credit for too. He doesn't shred, it's just melodic, smooth, gorgeous stuff. You're right again on the last three. Inamorata has to be the last song on the album, but Too Far Gone? lead single imo, Room of Mirrors as final single what should be like 2 months out from release. I'd probably have Lux Aeterna as the second of three singles.

I'm a long life metallica freak, i love everything about those guys but i agree with you in terms of how this album came out. I remember when i first listened to black album and i remember having the same feeling like "wtf is this?"...and "why is everything so slow?".... i was so used with the first four albums back when they had that fast metal unique style but the black album ended up growing on me and now is one of my favorite albums. I think that the problem with 72 seasons is the same thing, we are very used to the unique kind of music which metallica is all about: heavy but slow riffs with simple but strong notes and this album doesn't have much of this... instead we have repetitve riffs, drums, lame solos and honestly the only good thing about this album is james's voice and the guitar harmonies. Inamorata was quite frankly the only song i enjoyed when the whole album was released... i was into lux aeterna and self-titled 72 seasons which were both amazing songs but everything else was just "meeh" to me. Like i said i'm a die hard metallica fan but this album was kind of a disappointing anticipation for me and i feel like they just dropped it out of nowhere and didn't give it much attention. Anyway, this album is far from being a bad album... it just needed more "passion" and i feel like all that passion was put into Inamorata. This song is almost 12 minutes long and it makes you experience a lot of feelings and that is amazing... latelly the only song that made me feel that way was cosmic by avenged sevenfold.... i remember listening to both inamorata and cosmic over and over again on spotify at work and i never got tired of them... till this day i listen to both songs and i still get emotional sometimes. My point is....72 seasons is like a fine wine, we might don't like it now but it will grow on us with time just like the black album for me... someday we'll look back and see what an amazing work this was

Chasing light , if darkness had a sun, room of mirrors , inamorata, too far gone and 72s are the best songs I really like all of them some class riffs especially chasing light and the harmonies on this album are class if I had to pick what I didn't like it was Kirk's solos are like solos to suit everyone I always wanted abit more but I think they want away from them really long solos they said it before , they don't seem to be in that place anymore when they made all the old school songs they have told there story now they are making music for everyone if you get me but people get on like they are the only ones too have done it most bands have calmed down and most havnt been in the business as long as Metallica 40years +

There is no reaction here. Why even record. Most epic song of the last decade easily and you raise an eyebrow as the megaman/my friend of misery guitar harmonies shred in and light the stratosphere on fire. Common man!
