nfl longest passing plays ever, only one of these plays in under 95 yards and I put that in because the player who made the play (John Taylor) had a 96 yard touchdown later in the game.

Ok I know I’m late to explain this, but a “pass play” is just simply a play that involves a pass. This video isn’t on the longest passes through the air, does this clear everything up?

John Taylor is one of the most underrated WR's of all time. He always made big plays. Rice gets all of the attention, and deservedly so, but Taylor's presence benefited Rice's output. Opposing teams couldn't double team both of them. There were just too many weapons on those 49er teams back in the day.

@3:29 This game was played on Christmas eve of the 2011 NFL season. The Giants entering the game were reeling at 7-7 after a strong first half of the year, and looked like they were going nowhere, but then won this game and subsequently got hot to not only make the playoffs, but go all the way to capture their 4th Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots in February. Many sports analysts feel that it was this long touchdown play from Eli Manning to Victor Cruz which was the catalyst to their capturing the championship that season.

As a lielong 49ERS fan, when the KZbin algorithm placed this clip in my feed, I immediately checked to see if John Taylo'rs phenomenal Monday Night game against the rams was included in it. I was not disappointed. John Taylor still remains one of my favorite of all 49ERS players, partly because he has never been given the credit he deserves for being part of that great 49ERS era. When he was in the lineup, teams could not have their DB's focus too much on Jerry Rice. Not to mention, the 49ERS had Roger Craig, a man that was always a good threat to catch the ball out of the backfield. Great memories!!

Footage before 2000 has to be converted before it can be on the internet. Also multiple conversions causes most of the footage to get distorted and the quality goes down even further than the already sub par original quality. Furthermore, a lot of footage was lost due to it being taped over (an example being Super Bowl 1).

It's on Taylor's touchdowns that you can see why Jerry Rice is the best wr of all time. His hustle and willingness to block shows his heart for the game. Moss was more physically talented but Rice will still be the best.

@2:40 In 1995, Robert Brooks had a monster year. At the end of '94, the Packers lost, Sterling Sharpe, one of the all-time greats, to a career ending neck injury. Those were some big shoes to fill. 1995, one of my favorite Packer teams.

I was a college wide receiver for USC and played in the Rose Bowl Game on New's Year's day in 1977.
