I really enjoy your flight reports, a shame it took me this long to discover them. Your random comments throughout your video's are very entertaining. Keep em coming. Peace.

It's a FLEX take off - de-rated power as runway is much longer than London City and therefore does not need full power. Flex power is commonly used to save engine wear and fuel at airports with runways that are long enough to accommodate it.

***** Great video thanks so much for including takeoff audio out of curiosity how are you able to travel so frequently?

Enjoyed the video...thank you for sharing. I think this is the first video that I have watched, where I didn't mind the music through out. Some posters have the music so loud, you can't hear the plane noises. I think you did a good job on music choice and volume.

Wow!

I love the Jumbolino. So...wide inside and confortable. In my local airport just the boring Swiss A320 from June. :-)

So first point is that he took off with Flap 18° . You can also operate with Flap 24° or even 30° and maybe he used redused thrust to safe fuel and to have a longer engine lifetime

Geneva’s runway is 3,900m long compared to 1,500m at LCY. So the takeoff is at lower power to reduce noise and emissions.

I think the aircraft was fully loaded. I took the AVRO many times on LUX-ZRH, it took off really fast! Maybe a special procedure or something to save fuel, I don't know. BTW really nice edit! So sad that your camera ran out of battery I'd love to see the LCY approach. Thanks for this little report!

Same with me...I was really looking forward to LCY approach, but nevertheless great video, Wasn't it!

Actually it was designed to climb pretty fast from short runways like Bern and Florence.

An awesome little plane! Flew one from Prague to Geneva. Swiss is a fabulous carrier, they were great to us. I like the music, great report even if the battery quit on you. What camera do you use, my flight videos still look awful!

jaymuller Hi, I use a Panasonic HDC-SD66. Quite an old one but it still does the job.

***** Amazing, you have quite the best video quality of my air travel subscriptions, sometimes older is better

I think they used a derated assumed temperature thrust setting, which basically tricks the engine computer management into thinking that the OAT is colder than it is and therefore should provide less takeoff thrust. It is all about saving money.

EinkOLED This explanation sounds so overwhelmingly trustful. Thanks for your comment. ;)

Very long runway so very gradual acceleration. A lot of power needed to get off the London City strip quickly, so taking advantage of such a long runway to preserve engines.

Super Video!!

Wow I just realised that. The boarding gates at the A380 terminal..."A little crowded" OK all of you 500+ people have to get into that metal tube through that little hole.

They don`t have full thrust for take off to save fuel.

My least favorite plane in the world. I avoid this plane because it has no overhead space as well as the funny gap between the seat and the fuselage. I can't understand why it needs four engines. Makes no sense.

it's because they are quite but don't have much power
