Don't have a Longhorn in my city. We have driven to the closest one that is 45 miles away. Well worth the drive. I like the plain butter for the bread as well. That shrimp looks amazing, and I would definitely order that as a meal and add a salad. Bobbie, I hope your mom enjoyed the chicken and that she gets to go home soon. Thanks guys!

We have both Texas Roadhouse and Longhorn. They are both good but Longhorn is a cut above (pardon the pun). While they do experience turnover on staff, there seams to be less of that at lunch. When we first went there, I asked what they recommended for a non-steak entree and they recommended the Parmesan crusted chicken and they (and you were right). Same with the Wild West shrimp. Management is always out front and they consistently have the best grill masters in the kitchen. The atmosphere is definitely more upscale.

Thank you for this review. I've not heard of LongHorn Steak House. I looked for a location near me and find out even though I live in a metro area in the North Land, the closet to me is 250 miles or so. A bit far for me to travel for a restaurant. Then I looked up a local steakhouse and find out after 50 years in the same location, same décor (though maybe refreshed a few times) they are CLOSED. WoW., So bummed. It was a no frills, what I call a blue color steak house. Go in get a tray, utensils, order straight with the cook, grab a bowl of salad and dress it up with a minimal salad bar. Order beverage, pay and order is brought to where ever you sit. We have other Steak Houses. But not as casual as this place was. I will miss them.

Love Longhorn Steakhouse!! Just down the road from where I live! My birthday is 1wk from but Tuesday and my 2 best friends will treat me to whichever resteraunt I want. I chose Longhorn. I had the salmon, steak so good. Have to try Bobbie's parmesan crusted chicken and the shrimp appetizer for all 3 of us to share. I usually get sirloin steak and John's looked awesome. The bread is so good you're right. Have a good visit with mom Bobbie!

I have 4 go to meals at Longhorn, which are 1) Outlaw medium rare w/broccoli and a sweet potato 2)Renegade sirloin medium rare & red rock shrimp w/ broccoli , rice pilaf and a sweet potato 3) Salmon w/rice pilaf and asparagus and 4) cowboy chops w/apples, broccoli and a mixed green salad w/blue cheese dressing. @@jbinthehills , That old saying theirs no place like home is so true my 83 yr old dad has been in &out of the hospital this past week with a diagnosis of CHF and he actually got up from the waiting room in the ER and was heading out the door his wife called &put me on the phone with him so he went back in after a gentle talk he stayed until the dr told him he could leave, tomorrow i will be going over to shave him, they want to be in their home where they feel comfortable &safe, 👍

Longhorn is one of our favorite restaurants. Closest one to me is an hour away in Roanoke, or we'll eat at the Sevierville or Myrtle Beach locations. My husband says he has never had a bad steak there before. I don't eat steak, I always order the parmesan crusted chicken, which is to die for. Salad and bread are always the best. The app reminds me of the shrimp frittata - spicy and sweet! I am with Bobbie - I prefer regular butter (or even unsalted) - I have never been a fan of honey butter or other like that - but I know a lot of people like it fancy. heheh I am going to Longhorn next week so I can get my free birthday dessert with my meal! prayers for your mom-- about longhorn, we have one here on rt. 50 in chantilly va. the mashed potatoes are to die for, but we are never happy with the steak, no matter how many cuts we tried but just the other day, bryan had their parm chicken. sooooo good, but too salty, so we will ask them to lighten up on the salt next time. i love their grilled asparagus too.

Oh my gosh..love baked sweet potatoes..lots of butter and brown sugar!! So good!!!! I bet that chicken was good…. Sirloin usually is kind of dry..my favorite is rib eye or prime rib…Loaded potatoes are always so good!!! Those shrimp look amazing!!!!When I make my baked potatoe I alway use butter spray and roll it in kosher salt…. Sending my thoughts and prayers to your mom Bobbie…. Olive Garden has the similar type of shrimp, I had it the last time, I went and, it’s so, good! Good tip, John in eating it as meal, which is what, I did! Hope your mom enjoys her food Bobbie and, sending healing prayers to her!

Hope that your mom is doing well. I think you should do a video about the hospital food. I was very surprised by the variety and the hig quality of the food at the Cleveland clinic. The food might be better than you’d expect.

The food looks delicious, we would get the same exact meals, next time you get a steak, ask for a side of Au Jus, you will love it. The Vintage commercials are great!

We love longhorn steakhouse. Our favorite appetizer is the cheddar stuffed mushrooms. Last time we went we ordered 2 servings of them. They are that good. As for entree, the best is the Outlaw ribeye 🤠

@@jbinthehills my uncle is out of the hospital as of last night but I think he's going to end up in a nursing home my mom and I are too little and too old. 200 lb man we do have nursing staff that will come in and help us with him but if we cannot get him up out of his bed do you even go to the bathroom there's no use he hasn't gotten out of bed since he came home God bless peace be with you much love and respect TCB⚡️⚡️⚡️🙏😇

We have never gotten a bad steak at Longhorn Steakhouse!! That’s saying a lot because we have been to high-end steakhouses as well as the chains Rafferty’s, Logan’s, Texas Roadhouse, and Colton’s. The hot bacon dressing on the salad is very good!

All the Longhorn Steakhouse’s in Orange County, CA closed hear years ago. I went to these sometimes over the years, they did have good value but it wasn’t great and the restaurants were always empty.
