While the clasps on CW, Rolex, Omega, etc are really cool and functional, they also add a lot of bulk to the bracelet. Sometimes a clasp like this one makes the watch wear much better. And to be honest, once the initial cool factor wears off, I rarely use quick adjustments at all.
@rightwristonly87963 жыл бұрын
They definitely do add bulk especially the Omega clasp. I do use the adjustment frequently on my watches that have it but I guess it depends on how much your body swells with temp change. I think watches with thin bracelets should usually stick with clasps with thin profiles like this one.

@huzidamasta2 жыл бұрын
@@rightwristonly8796 yeh I can see why you feel that way tbh. It's clearly pretty different to a Sub. I suppose it's just because it's luxury Swiss standard, black dial, 41mm and has the polished middle links. I feel like if I went from that to a 41mm stainless steel black dial Submariner Date it wouldn't feel like a huge visual jump. But that said, it's clearly not the same as a Sub. I get that other watches like seamasters/aquaracers etc. are considered closer to Subs than this, but for me they're all too chunky. It could just be me losing my mind haha it honestly wouldn't surprise me.

Thanks for sharing. Great looking watch. Tried it on my wrist about 2 years ago in France on airport Nice. Although i do like the looks, it felt a bit cheap in hand. Especially the clasp is one you can find on $100 watch. But once again I'm drawn to the looks. Have a +-$5000 budget in mind so can afford a much more expensive watch yet contemplating this one. Still on the fence. Already have a couple of higher end watches among others Omega Planet Ocean and a Seamaster 300 chrono, Rolex Explorer 2, Tudor Pelagos and Breitling Headwind. Thinking out loud: Omega i Already have enough, Rolex these days is like paying for an assrape, Breitling is one of my favourite brands but the model i want is +-$8000 and a bit more than i want to pay, i can afford it but don't want to.... and Tudor is a good alternative for a good price-quality ratio but a bit boring. Choices choices. Or i can just buy the Hydroconquest and keep the rest as pocket change... Luxury problems right...

For this price, I think there is no other Brand making a better dive watch ?
@rightwristonly87964 жыл бұрын
I would say there is a lot of competition in the $1000-$2000 range from a number of great brands. Lots of new brands or newly revived brands are putting out some amazing watches. What I can say from personal experience is Longines has excellent customer support and quick turnaround on service/ repair. The other thing Longines has is brand recognition. Lots of people will recognize what you are wearing as a quality timepiece.
@o.g.20274 жыл бұрын
Right Wrist Only For me, quality is more important than brand recognition. If you know a divers watch with significantly better quality, but less brand recognition, for the same price, then please tell me.
@rightwristonly87964 жыл бұрын
The Zodiac Sea Wolf is a great place to start. I would say the quality is better. They are a small brand with limited runs and partnerships for low number special editions but backed by Fossil group so they have deep pockets to support development. The watches are amazing. The movements are in house and some are chronometer rated. The bracelet has spring loaded links which make it much more comfortable throughout the day. Halios is actually less expensive if you can get one from Jason the brand owner directly and my absolute favorite. He rarely releases watches and they sell out in a flash. You can get some of his watches with ETA movements which is what you will find in Longines. MK II Benchcrafted watches are stunning examples of enthusiast obsession. The OW C-1000 by Ollech & Wajs, similar moment to the Longines but great vintage revival looks and about the same price. I will say that two things Longines has over on those brands are scale (service) and availability. Even when they go out of stock they will have more watches in short time.

Could u compare the finishing between C60 Trident pro and this one? Thanks in advance!
@rightwristonly87963 жыл бұрын
I think for your money the c60 finishing is a little better. The edges are still sharp without being so sharp that they scrape the skin on the c60. The longines is deadly sharp. It depends on the person which one you prefer. The c60 bracelet and bracelet finishing is miles ahead of the hydro conquest though. The case back on the CW is by far nicer then the hydro. Def a better feel on the wrist. In the end if you really want a recognizable name and an iconic look you’ll end up with the Longines and if you want a more capable watch with better specs you’ll go when the CW. The ETA and power reserve is def a big thing to consider between the two. If you want the Standard bearer for entry level Swiss movement you’ll want the ETA and if you just want bang for buck you’ll want the sw200 from CW.

i have a 6.6 wrist , i am scared this watch in 41mm will be too big ? what do you guys think ?
@rightwristonly87963 жыл бұрын
The watch being “big” is relative to how you feel about the watch. I have a 7” wrist and most of the time anything over 40 is too big for me. There are exceptions. Some watches “wear smaller” have a short lug to lug distance or are light. The Tudor Pelagos is a 42 but has a short lug to lug and is titanium so it’s lighter. It fits well for me. The ga-2100 is 44mm but is very comfortable. I would say just try it on and see if it’s comfortable for you to wear. If you buy it from Longines directly through their online store you can always return it. They are very good about that sort of thing.

@rightwristonly87963 жыл бұрын
The aluminum bezel will wear overtime and the movement is not the new 60 hour power reserve movement on that watch. If you are into the style of the old one and its a daily wear watch or a once in a while watch then the power reserve does not matter. I think you can probably find it for under 1K. Maybe wait for Black Friday and see if you can get it on sale. I like the look of the old one a lot, its very recognizable. Fo myself, I would opt for the longer power reserve and ceramic bezel but that is obvious because it's what I have in the video. Try both of them on and see if one fits better then the other and then make your decision.

Tudor is like 3x the price. You can get the longines for around 1200 and tudor is around 3600-3800. I wish it was more close to the 2000 range 😕
